I know it has probably been asked before, but i can't find it
I found a good private deal on a set of 31x10.5x15 BFG KOs. I have a 3" lift so I know I am OK for clearance that way, but I would be stuck using my current wheels if I wanted to run them now. My current wheels are a set of 7" wide Canyons, would I run in to any serious rubbing issues with the Canyons? Keep in mind I have no intentions of running off road with this set up, I just want to get some on road winter traction. My current tires are so bad I just got stuck in the driveway with only 2" of fresh snow, I had to put the Jeep in 4-hi just to get moving
I really need to get these crappy tires off my Jeep before they result in an accident, 4wd will get me moving, but it wont help me stop. I will be buying a set of properly backspaced wheels in the near future, say a month or so.

Seriously? Well ain't that a bag of sweaty dicks, I have a set of four sitting in a box waiting to go on my 3" lift lol. At the time I researched and everyone said 3" was fine...

Everyone told me that, too, but they also said I couldn't run 33s under a 3" lift. I've been saying this for a while

Yes the Canyons were a factory wheel that came in both 15x7 (WJ) and 15x8 (TJ). The 15x7 have 5" backspacing and the 15x8 have 5.5" backspacing.
These are Canyons just not mine. Mine were painted black by the PO and are corroding under the paint so they look like crap.
Wheel spacers aren't exactly a money saver at $60 a pair when I can get rims for just a little more The other option is to turn my own spacers, yes I do have a metal lathe and a rotary table to be able to properly align and bore the holes. Once again the cost of materials (enough aluminum to make the spacers and 20 wheel studs and lug nuts) is about the same as a set of D windows.
The use of the factory wheels in not to save money on a new set of wheels, it is to have something to run on till the new wheels come in. Being in Canada and ordering from the USA means sometimes packages take for ever to get here thanks to customs. What is worse is I live less than a mile from the USA border and still have to deal with the wait times.
