Don't think trimming is gonna help LCA rub.
The cheap way to Band-Aid it is to adjust your steering stops. The proper way is aftermarket LCA's or wheels with less backspacing.

Whoops sorry, didn't understand it the first time. He has 1.5" spacers so that shouldn't be a problem, especially just one side. I would check to see how your alignment is, do you have an adjustable track bar or relocate it? I relocated mine first before getting an adjustable and over-compensated and pulled it over too much.

Will probably need to trim the bottom corners of your flares, and if your running stock wheels you may rub on the LCA during sharp turns. Otherwise you should be good

Default OME CS033RA rear spring ride quality?

I used 3" blocks to lift my 98-XJ in the rear, that method was just ok at best.

I now have a 01-XJ that will be lifted also but this time I prefer to install better rear springs, the goal is roughly 4" of lift. I have OEM
2006 Rubicon take off rims and 245/75/16 tires.

This XJ is used as a daily commuter so ride is very important to me.
It will also be used in the snow and logging roads, but no serious wheeling.

With that said, what do you guys think of the OME CS033RA rear leaf springs for my intended use?

I searched on the spring part# but found no relevant answers.

I hope this is the correct format for post a question in this thread.

Thanks,
Gregg

Might want to look into Metalcloak 3.5" dual rate coils, I love the way they ride and they gave me a true 3.5" up front. Since I got the medium duty OME leafs in the rear, it had an optional leaf that could be removed for lighter applications. This was the 3rd leaf down from the top as it sits in the Jeep. I removed it so I could run JKS boomerang shackles and not have too much lift in the rear. New coils, remove a leaf or 2 and boomerangs would improve your ride quality dramatically in my opinion.

I am running the OME CS033RB medium duty leafs with the 3rd leaf removed, OME nitro charger shocks, Liquid Iron Industries shackle relocation brackets and JKS boomerang shackles and I love the way it rides. It is sitting at about 4.5" unloaded right now. However for future load out plans, it will ride around 3.5", perfect for 31's.

Anybody run a 265-70-15 on a 01 Cherokee? Does it need the lift before hand? Still a DD but needs new shoes. Thanks!

I don't run em, but those measure out to just about 30x10.5 you might rub at full lock, or when heavily articulated. Keep it slow around speed bumps and potholes and you'll be fine until the lift.

What lift are you going with?

Looking at a 2-3" OME lift. Should I buy the entire OME kit or just the springs and get Bilstein shocks? I have 200,000 miles on my Jeep, so should I replace the shackles at the same time?

Getting new tires soon... was originally planning on duratracs, but that'$ not going to happen thi$ time around

So I'm looking on Craigslist and finding pretty good luck with barely used tire sets. Want peoples opinions/experience with different tires. My driving is mostly on-road. Off-road driving is mostly sand w/ frequent encounters of mud on the trails.

Choices are:

Falken Wildpeak A/T 33"
Cooper Mud Claw 31"
Mudstar Radial M/T 33"
GT Radial Aventuro AT3 31"
Firestone Destination M/T 33"
Yohohama Geolander 33"
Pirelli Scorpion ATR 31" or 33"
Nexxen Rodian ATII 31"
and the famous BFG AT KO 31"

I'd like to go w/ 33's but traction is going to be the biggest key. It rains a lot here in florida, so I'd like a tire with good wet weather traction as well.

Thanks in advance.

Oh... and I'll be lifting it 3.5" soon and fenders are already cut about 2" (up to the final lip)

How's the wet-road traction with them.... I noticed the lack of siping in the tread blocks... seems a little disconcerting.

I never had the slightest bit of trouble with them, and I drive like a douche. They outperformed every other tire I've used in snow and mud, and they did well in everything else. The only terrain they didn't see under my MJ was sand
