Mine looses fluid with it still in lol. Front seal is bad.

So I'm gearing up to install my lift soon. I have OME front/rear springs, Bilstein shocks and OEM shackles. I'm trying to decide what bushings I should get for the rear springs. Anyone have any suggestions? I also want to get new hardware for the install. New u bolts, etc. Where is the best place to get that kind of stuff and what should I get?

Any old rubber leaf spring bushing set will work, I prefer rubber over Poly on my jeep.

Serious Offroad will chime in and tell you he has some U bolts, you need to figure out what rear end you have and then buy the corresponding U bolts. D35 has a 2.75"? width and the 8.25" has a 3" width. New hardware for the springs and suspension can be bought at the dealer, but you're going to pony up some cash. If they aren't rusted I would just reuse them. Clean them and apply antiseize.

stupid rocky-road.com wants $24 to ship four u-bolts and a rubber bushing kit. I really don't want to give them my business when they're so blatantly trying to f me in the a.

Ok I've don a lot of research on lifts and am looking to do a bastard pack lift of about 3"-4". I know I will need the s-10 springs (or Dakota) thinking on f150 front coil springs or some used XJ springs already made for that lift. Getting all new shocks (not sure what brand yet) extended brake lines and am really unsure if I need to do a t case drop or an sye. Anything I'm missing? Probably going to run 30 or 31" tires.

Go a page or two page, there's a very handy chart that was posted twice that answers your questions

So I've just completed a 3" lift with a Skyjacker kit (so not bastard), but some of the items I have experienced might be useful.

See SeriousOffroads response to my question on SYE vs TC Drop a page or two back .... I 'guess' it makes a difference as to what use you are setting up for .. daily driver / serious off road.

I lifted mine and immediately had a significant vibration at 24 - 26 mph .... that a TC drop of ~ 1 1/2" seems to have resolved, but again - see SeriousOffroads comments. A friend of mine did his 96 XJ 3" with no vibrations at all .... guess it just sort of depends. I do have the Dana 44 in my '87, don't know if that makes a difference.

Used a Rubicon Adj Trackbar, OME steering Stab, and detachable Sway bar.

Someone with more expertise might comment, but if you don't go SYE, I think you'll need to consider shims to adjust pinion angle for the diff.

All in all, mine rides pretty well on the road and hope to go off road this weekend and checkout a mild ride.

I find that 1.5" TC drop to be a bit on the extreme side, did you just jump right to it or work your way up to it?

I did a 3" Zone AAL lift on my 98 and was experiencing vibs between 35 and 50 mph. As a temporary solution I dropped the TC 7/8" and it cleared it up right away. I do plan on doing a SYE in the future, along with new trans and motor mounts. It is just that I have to work in the driveway and it is winter up here.

yes, I worked into that number ... actually 1 3/8" ... but I'm also seeing some fluid seepage from TC and getting the cross member to bolt in can be a ***** since from geometry it is actually slightly forward of it's original position. Like I said, my friend lifted his and no vibrations ... guess somebody just wants to get deeper into my pocket ... It's a Jeep thing.

Hey can you help me out with a couple of links for parts? The names they give for parts are not the same terminology that we use so it's a little confusing.

Like this one says "Tie rod end" but shows products of just the ends as well as the tie rods themselves.
http://www.autozone.com/suspension-s...ers-y-5-2l-mfi

Then on this page it shows result for "Center link" but then shows trac bars as well as drag link parts.

Napa and Advance Auto parts isn't any different.
