I selected "This kit won't work for your model" and was still able to add it to my cart and start the checkout. Even though I have an NP242 I guess they still like my money and don't mind selling me a boat anchor.

Well yeah, you could be buying it for something else. Be appreciative of the warning

Exactly. I owned six vehicles for a short time. Back down to four now, and I'm not gonna change all my info every time I buy a part. I'm very grateful for online fitment guides, but I'd be pretty pissed off if they refused to sell me something just cause it isn't designed for the application I have selected

RC 3 inch suspension lift with the upgraded shocks or RE 3.5 with monotube shock. Which is better on road?

ok that's what I thought. I've just read mixed things on the twin tube shocks but that's what's in the budget with the SYE and everything so maybe I'll upgrade them in the future if they are to loose.

Shocks will wear out over time, and they can always be upgraded. The lift is the big investment, both in money and install time

That's what I'm thinking too. Is there a brand you recommended when I do decide to upgrade them?

Everyone says Bilstein is the shiznit. I sure hope they are I have a set waiting to go on. Although I have yet to use them they are the best built shock I've seen at their price level.

I may try them. Do you know what length I should get? Since the RE kit height is unpredictable from what I've read, in terms of how much you gain.

The only reliable answer to that is to install the lift and measure. Sorry, but there's no magic bullet
