I live in good ole sunny florida, so sorry about your snow misfortunes. It took me 3.5 hours to completely do mine. That's also factoring in a lunch break.

As already mentioned, it can be done without pulling the t-case. As for the snap rings, just get some decent snap ring pliers and its easy.

The operation was a success! The biggest PITA was the 10mm bolt at the top of the TC, I couldn't find any of my 10mm star sockets so I had to do it with a 10mm box wrench and a cheater.

Alright, so the SYE is installed, cv shaft installed with new u joints and I still have vibration. Almost more than when I had the TC drop. I'm at 4.5" with a Chrysler 8.25 rear. Anyone have any insight? Could the shaft be to short?

Did you rotate the rear axle to align the pinion and driveshaft?

nope, just about to go measure my pinion angle. Probably needs to shimed right? It's mostly low speed low acceleration vibration.

There's your problem.

Here's how your factory setup is aligned:

And here's how your SYE setup needs to be aligned:

That's very important. You're gonna eat up your ujoints and possibly cause severe damage if you run it more than a few degrees off-angle

yeah, just needed some shims to align the pinion angle. The kit was pretty reasonable and not so bad to install. Which ever route you go I recommend changing the seal on the front yoke while u have it apart wish I had.

[QUOTE=sycoglitch;3057435]Take a pic of your suspension setup from the front[/QU

Looking at the picture I took. I feel like I need the trac bar raised more to align it with my drag link. There is no more room to go higher then it is with the jks bracket Axle side. Frame side I'm using my old Rubicon express drop track bar mount. Only thing I could do is mount the drag link under the arm to change or get more of an angle from the drag link. just not sure how or what that does to suspension traveling. Also I have a stock Xj pitman arm as well.

As for the trac bar being loose. I will re center axle and tighten the he'll out of jam nuts.

Here's a dumb question but I am wondering if I'm retarded or not. With the cross over steering I have now, when I adjust the tracking bar should I disconnect the steering arms? Or better question does anyone have the steps to doing a proper alignment with crossover steering?
