Nowhere seems to be able to get my jeep quite right, but it wasn't far off. Track bar and drag link angles are about right. I don't have any pictures right now because I just swapped to IRO steering and it's night here. I'm mainly just trying to see which upgrade would be more worthwhile.

No, I don't lick fish.
Hey guys, quick question for any of you who have mixed-and-matched your lifts:
So I bought a 3" lift kit from Rustys. It came with a full leaf pack and new 3" coil springs for the front. While I was at it, I replaced the old stock shackles with new .75" grease-able extended shackles. I'm running stock tires right now, and the ride height is way off. Way more than I intended...
The measurements from the center of my hub to the fender in the rear of the jeep is 23.5" and 20" in the front. Instead of stacking 3.5" worth spacers...I think it would be a much better idea to buy new springs. If so, what size should I look for? 4" springs? Being 1/4" lower in the rear shouldn't be noticeable, but then again I don't want to make the same mistake twice! Neither of the sway bars are connected right now if that makes any diffidence.
Any help is really appreciated.

Beach Bum
At proper caster, steering should return to center after a turn.
Overinflated tires can wander also, depending on road surface/condition.
Have you checked the joints in steering shaft, at firewall and u-joint near steering box?

You need to drive it around for a little while before deciding to up the front any. Leaf springs will settle under the weight of the Jeep over time. Id' say give it about a month based on what I've seen from others (my leafs were used previously so I really can't say exactly how long).
New to Jeeps, need help
I just installed a 3" Rough Country lift and General 31 10.5 R 15 tires on my otherwise stock 2000 XJ.
I'm new to Jeeps but so far I'm loving the combo!
My question is, since I made the above mentioned additions I have notice that the Jeep is slower to accelerate (I figured that would happen) but also between 0-10 mph the Jeep almost sounds like its going to stall (its an auto).
Do I need to replace the stock axles/ drive shaft/ u-joint with heavy duty aftermarket parts? If I don't "need" to would it still be a good idea?
This is my daily driver, but I definitely plan to hit the trials on the weekends.

Long Arm Upgrade Kits
First post so hopefully I'm in the right spot. I'm currently piecing together a 5" lift for my XJ and I'm not sure which long arm kit I should get. The Jeep is going to be purpose built as an expedition/overland rig seeing lots of miles both on and off road. I'm not a fan of the faux long arm setups with radius arms. So I've decided on a true 4 link and 3 link setup. The two I've narrowed down to are BDS ($950) and B. Lee Offroad ($750). I'm wondering which of these will best suit my needs as I'm sure most of you will be more knowledgeable than me on this. Simply put, I'm looking for best flex and road manners. From my little knowledge on the subject, I know that a well-constructed 3-link will outclass a 4-link on flex, but factoring in the amount of road time it will see will it feel stable on road?
This is the BDS kit. I'm buying only the upgrade kit, which is the arms and crossmember. This is the only pic they had that showed them. True long arms, 4-link setup.
This is B. Lee Offroad's kit. Nicely priced 3-link setup.
Thank you in advance.

Wow, they're pretty cheap. Dont like th orange too much, but they definitely seem to be beefy.
