When I did my lift I had intended on.. and ordered.. the AAL. Once I saw how flat my leaf springs were I decided to order the full set. With the full leaf replacement the stock shackles are to short. The inside gets full thread and bolt is flush with top of nut. The outside is a little different. Probably just over half way through. I want to replace the outside at least. Is there a direct fit replacement ? It only needs about 1" more length.

I'm sorry I think I stated the wrong part. Its the U bolt that goes around the axle. The outside ones are a bit short. Not enough thread coming through. The shackles are the piece that the back of the leaf connects to correct ? I used the stock ones and they are fine.
Also the Hack 'N Tap, bits, tap and guide are ordered

What do ya'll think of the Shackle relocation kits? If I replaced the sagging leaf packs with the HD leaf packs, and then used the longer shackles or different shackles with a shackle relocation kit.

I can only speak from experience so far with the RC 3" full leaf lift I did on my Cherokee. Going from the flat leafs, like in your picture, to the full leafs 3" and stock shackles, the lift was significant. It looks like you have an extended shackle and if you went full leaf I think you might be looking at lifting it past the extent of the brake lines.
No, I don't lick fish.
The problem is the angle of your rear driveshaft. A TC drop lowers the crossmember (in turn, also lowering the TC) so the driveshaft angle is closer to where it was. That's fine for the driveshaft, but your TC, transmission, and engine are all bolted together. That means your engine will be tilted back, which is bad for your motor mounts. And if your motor mounts are already worn out (most stock ones are by now), there's a chance it could allow your mechanical fan blades to shake hands with your radiator.
The correct fix is to install a Slip Yoke Eliminator and a CV driveshaft, which is designed to operate at steeper angles than the stock rear shaft

The rear has trouble because it's a single cardan shaft. With the front already being a CV, I don't think the slight change in angle has any influence. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think unless the front u joins are on their way out they usually hold up.i had a TC drop for a few months until I went HnT and although it didn't look pretty the don't angle, it didn't have issues. I did however get vibes back after some time of having the TC drop

I drive 4 miles to work. On the weekend if I'm not going off roading the jeep is parked. When I do off road I drive approximately 80 miles round trip on highway getting to the location and coming back home. Once off road we average less than 10 mph easy and do about 60 miles of off road.
So considering it will be 1 to 2 weeks before I do the HnT does the 80 to 160 miles of highway use, 20 to 40 miles to work and 60 to 120 miles of off roading really merit installing the TC drop ?

Ok so here is another scenario. I have the TC drop kit arriving today. I have already ordered the HnT so my plan is to have the HnT done by next weekend.

Sorry too much math. If you can get the studs out the frame that holds the cross member then do the TC and then sell it like I did. Second, is better to do the lesser of two evils, as in run the TC than not, because you don't know the condition of you rear u joint and why take the chance stressing it for the week

I like my HDoffroad no lift shackle relocation brackets. Install wasn't too bad and they work perfect.
