Default 95' Jeep Cherokee xj

Just bought a jeep, and the suspension is kinda weak.....was wandering if anyone had any ideas on what to beef it up with. Nothing that is overkill. I'm talking about shocks and/or leaf springs, coils. Thanks.

Stock or lift? How often do you drive it, and how important is a comfortable ride? Finally, what's your budget?

This is the situation my Jeep was in when I got it and simply replaced the leaf springs with new HD leafs. Also replaced most of the suspension bushings and new shocks. I tow a trailer regularly though, so you may want something with a lower sprig rate.

Depends on your plans for your xj. Mine was in the same situation when i got it. I knew i was looking at doing some wheeling but was on a budget. I went with new crown leafs and a Rustys 2 inch lift. I went 2 inch so i could avoid messing with a sye. However if you lift...youll need to replace your track bar and sway bar endlinks as well. Something to keep in mind. If your not planning much offroading you can always just replace the coils and leafs with OE parts...replace the shocks and call it done.

I'll try to keep this question simple. I have a 98' that is in need of new leafs and front end replacement parts. I'm going to lift it, but I have a budget of around $750 for the lift itself. I had a RE lift on my old XJ and loved it. My options right now are the RE 3.5", RC 4.5" and Rusty's 4.5. I'm leaning towards the RE Super Ride with adding the adjustable LC's. The only thing is is that the RC lift is more complete, but you need to add shackle relo's to make the rear leafs flex right. I will also be adding an SYE that's not included in the above price.

This will be mainly used on pavement with random trips to thee trail. Looking to put 33's on it after the lift, but I'm opening to opinions.

I really want the best bang for my buck.

Between those two, go with the RE. Also take a look at Zone Offroad's prices before making a decision.

Any time, man. Maybe we can set up a lift party when you're ready

Are you keeping the spacers in addition to the springs? Doesn't sound like it (since you'd be riding at ~7" F and ~4" R) but figured it would help if you clarify. Be aware that depending on the condition of your current leaf packs the AAL may still sag over time. Is everything else stock? Control arms, track bar, etc?

It's gonna be a lot more work and a bit more money than you think.
