They will rub when you lock the steering wheel to either side and probably hit the fenders at 2" unless you are willing to cut the fenders. A better option might be 30x9.5's which are pretty popular at 2" of lift.

I want to find a cheap lift for my WJ. It's a 99 model. Any one know of an decent cheap lift I could get, or possibly a website I can browse on?

A cheap lift is not something you want. Affordable would be a better choice. Check out Zone Offroad they have good affordable lifts, but as with everything, the lift itself is just the start. There will be a handful of other things you will need to get/do for it to work properly.

I have a 92 Cherokee and recently bought a 4.5 lift for it. I have a question about wheels though for a while I was sure to get 15x8 steal wheels with 3.75bs my question is could I run 15x10 with 33/12.50/15 and still ride well and preform well offroad? or should I stick with 15x8? I was talking to discount tire and they said a 12.50 is the widest tire you can fit on a 15x8. since im at would I be able to run a stock xj front drive shaft with a 4.5 lift and a 1" t case drop also to be included I would be installing degree axle shims to rotate the pinion angle up? I heard that since I have an older Cherokee and not a 96+ something about the dirve line is a little bit longer or something like that lol. this is just going to be a fix till I do a sye and correct drive shaft.

Stick with the 15x8's. The 10's will put your tires way outside the sides of the Jeep. If your lift didn't come with shims I would hook everything up and check for vibes and go from there. I am not lifted that high though so someone else might say differently.

Since the rim thing was already answered, you need an SYE for a front drive shaft to work in the rear. No transfer case drop with an SYE.

So I'm still researching on what size lift and tires I want to run. I think I narrowed it down to 3-3.5" lift and 31s. Decided 4.5" and 33s was just too much for my needs. After talking to some buddies, asking around on other sites and the solid advice from 2000CHERO I'm thinking of going with Zone 3" leaf and springs. Adding CAs from IRO and a RE track bar. My questions are...

1. If I use the HD no lift shackle relocation bracket, what length shackle would you guys recommend for a good shackle angle and to keep it pretty much level with the front? The adjustable ones from IRO look pretty solid. Any thoughts?

2. Would the Rubicon Express RE1600 track bar work with only 3" of lift? Morris 4x4 is saying 3.5"-4.5". Any recommendations?

3. What do you guys think about Goodyear Wrangler Authority Tire 31X10.50R15 LT? I'm currently running General Grabbers AT2s which are great but I like the look of the Goodyear Wranglers.

I installed the RE1600 on my buddy's Jeep with his 3" zone lift. Works great and has plenty of adjustment.

Good choice on the lift.

Adjustable is what you need. I'm sure someone has that combination, but leaf spring lengths vary widely, so you need the adjustability in shackle and the relocation box to get the angle and height you need.

IRO double-shear will also work. I have no idea the price difference, though.

I had to look these up... The Authority is made exclusively for WalMart. That should be warning sign #1. I found a few reviews that raise some serious quality concerns. I would not buy these tires.

What kind of terrain do you plan to tackle?

Honestly its going to mostly see highway miles since its my DD but it will some old fire and logging roads when we go camping and fishing.

Hi, I have a 5 inch lift on my 96 Cherokee sport and I just got new front upper control arms. I haven't put them in yet because I can't figure out what to adjust them to. I've searched Google and couldn't find anything. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Alright guys, finally got a 3" RC lift put on the XJ and I'm not 100% satisfied with the height. My question is, is there any suggested ways on to get a little more lift in there without having to buy all new parts again? I was thinking of the bastard pack method and adding another leaf from either an s10 or another xj but I'm not 100% certain this will help the way I want or if its possible to pick up another add-a-leaf from somewhere like rusty's but I'm not sure which size I would want. Then comes the coils which i haven't started looking into 100% but i was thinking if i get another 2" on top of the 3" lift I could just go with 2" poly coil spacers or just get some rubicon express 5" coils. Then it comes to the shocks and control arms and whether i can use the 3" lift ones or not. I probably will get adjustable control arms in the future. My plan fro this project is to slowly acquire parts over time so im not in a rush. I already have an adjustable IRO Double sheer track bar so thats not a worry. I guess if someone can start pointing in the right directions for what I should be reading up on that would be awesome!

Pretty much everything will need to be replaced if it isn't adjustable, including your leaf springs since it sounds like you bought an AAL. You could put spacers on top of your coils, but nothing else will be right at that height. You'll also need an SYE and aftermarket steering.

Hm. I was mostly thinking of doing all that because i would like to put on a winch bumper and a rear tire carrier and don't want to lose all of my lift. was thinking that if i was able to get 2" more in there and the bumper's bring it down 1-2" then I would be back at a 3" left and be fine. I know its not as easy as just that but just wanted to know if i had any options
