You read my mind, 100%!!!! I am leaning toward the Zone 4.5" kit that includes the full spring pack. I am adding a steering stabilizer. Now I am scratching my head about all of the things I DONT KNOW... Wondering what else I need to make sure its "right" and I don't rip up my gear...

Ok so I either want to get a RC 3" lift or an RE 3.5 super ride. First of all I'm leaning more towards RE but I see they have two identical kits just one doesn't include shocks. Would it be more worth it to order the RE6025M which INCLUDES shocks for $900 some dollars or get the plain old RE6025 WITHOUT shocks for $580 some dollars and find shocks that work for a 3.5" lift elsewhere. Thanks for any input

No you don't. Stiff ride, low quality, incomplete kits, numerous complaints about warranties.

That's really up to your preference, but if you get the kit w/o shocks, don't cheap out on the shocks you get. Billsteins are a great shock to get in lieu of the shocks that come in the RE kit, but I wouldn't get a shock like brand-x and expect it to make your RE kit ride good. Unless you have a better quality shock in mind, the RE shocks are decent.

That being said, it sounds like you're a little hesitant on the price. Have you considered Zone Offroad? They make a complete kit with quality similar to RE and it will save you a couple hundo.

Thanks for the reply. I came up with the 24-188197 from bilstein. On bilsteins site and chart it says that one supports 3.5"-4" lifts but most retailers generalize it as a 4". I'm guessing it would still work. Seems to be that getting the RE kit for $500 something and buying separate shocks is the way to go

Should be fine. That RE 3.5" kit is gonna be more like 4.5"-5" lift.

I'm looking at these shackle relocation brackets. My dilemma is that I already have a 1/8" gas tank skid that attaches to the nut-strip. Will the 1/8" mess up the alignment between the nut strip and the stock shackle location and prevent the relocation bracket from working?

Not sure what you mean by messing with "the alignment" of them. Basically, you're going to end up sandwiching the brackets between the rails and the gas tank skid. Make sure it's in that order though. You want the relo brackets to hug the frame rails. The gas tank skid can be spaced out without causing any issue.

I have a shock questions as well... I have the following setup going in: 4.5" RE springs, 3.5" RE leafs, 1.5" RE shackle. I'm looking at the Bilstein 5100's as recommended by NKOC and a few otyhers. I think this is the part numbers Front - 24-185943 and Rear - 33-151663. Do those sound about right? I also have a RC long arm going in at the same time.

Hey guys new to jeeps and not gonna lie on a budget on this one says the ole lady so gotta keep parts cheap my question is about some rear leafs......i was gonna make junk yard bastard packs from a Dakota but before i do that i came across some pro comp lift packs part number 33311 they r supposedly for a toyota but i was wondering if they might work for my jeep.......any info or thoughts greatly appreciated and they say that they are 3.5 inch lift leafs
