I personally would just go full sye in the first place. Not even $100 more and it has a heavy duty shaft, lower profile and new rear bearing and seal.

True, but if money's tight, it's a decent alternative. $100 can be a nice chunk of change if money's tight. Just make sure you make a nice straight cut through the output shaft like Steve mentioned.

Edit: If the extra $100 isn't an issue, and a full SYE is just a little intimidating.... It's not as difficult as it seems. I had never torn into a TC before, and I was able to make it happen with the TC still under the jeep laying in my driveway. Good lock ring pliers are the key.

lifetime warranty for $76 more dollars and a lot harder to screw up, that's the route I took.

I know I am going to need extended bump stops, but what else? Steering stabilizer? I am still not sure...

I am sorry I am asking something I am sure tons of people have asked before, but I can't seem to find the answers I am looking for on my own.

Thank you in advance to all of those that give me suggestions, I'm sure many of you have much more knowledge than I do.

Steering stabilizer wouldn't hurt, but I'd be surprised if the RC kit didn't come with one. It's a pretty complete kit, just bottom of the line. If you can, look into other companies (Rubicon Express, Zone, BDS, IRO, are all solid options). Other than that, you may need a SYE and new double cardan rear driveshaft. Shackle Relocation Brackets, not a requirement, but I recommend looking into them.

Also, 33's are gonna be fairly crappy on stock gearing. Do a bunch of research, and read a bunch of threads before making a purchase. Like I said, if you can stay away from RC, do it. Piecing a kit together is a nice option

thanks for the reply. so reusing u-bolts one would probably be ok if I follow what you're saying?

and i have the shackles from my rough country 4.5" kit, which I believe are adjustable. would those fit either the zone or RE leaf springs? I don't see why not, just wanna make sure I won't have a surprise when doing the installation.

and as far as quality, are the zone ones better than RC? they're a bit cheaper than RE so I might go with them. they don't have higher than 3" right? so my RC shackles + 3" zone springs should net me around 4-5"?

Should be able to, the determining factor is length of driveshaft.

Can look at the shift bezel in cabin and confirm by looking at tag on rear of transfer case. Pictures attached.
