Yeah, definitely mixed opinions. I do like the fact that, if they work, I wouldn't have to balance them every couple months. But most say at 31's to just get weights installed. At this point, I don't know if my tires can even be balanced. Driving me crazy because I have a shimmy at 45 to 55, but then nothing above or below. What would you recommend for a personal standpoint? I'm not really ready for 33's, but I could try to be.

I run 15" tires on both of the cars my wife's 67 Mustang a 15x12" & 15x3 1/2" on mine it has 15x10.5's a class requirement with a 15x3 1/2" front. Both slicks and drag radials are very costly way more than 4x4 tires depending on compound.

Before I replied I called a friend who owns a large tire shop and asked him about sales of 15" tires and he replied that 16's topped the list of sales lots of trucks in this area then 17's for cars with 15's still in 3rd place. Still a lot of older cars on the road down here in this area.

You are old enough......so you keep saying :P

Do you remember when 13" and 14" wheels were a common size?

I never said they won't be around, just limited.

Guys take for granted that whatever their experience is will always be.

Trailer tires will always be.

Alright, alright. The points have been made by both sides.

Let's all get back on topic.

Kind of a dumb question, but my steering makes bad poppong sounds when turning, found that it's coming from the trackbar bracket, you think getting an aftermarket bracket will get rid of this? I think it's probably screwing with my alignment too because I've gotten 2 alignments and my front tires are still wearing bad on the insides.

Rubicon Express adj. trackbar currently on with their steering stabilizer, and ZJ tie rod. Other than that stock steering components.

I'm looking at getting a set of these http://www.extremeterrain.com/mammot...8-J100620.html they're for the TJ & YJ, so they have the same bolt pattern, just curious if there's any other reason they might not fit? Way I understand it that if bolt pattern is the same, then I'm good.

they will work, they will push the tires out close to 2" each side because of the different back spacing, they look good.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I actually have wheels with the same backspacing now, but I don't really like them like I did originally so want something I know I'll like for a long time.

Fixing to pull the trigger on a lift/tires/rims and want to check and see if anyone else is running this set up to see if there are any rubbing issues.

Clayton 4.5" Long Arm w/SYE and drive shaft
GY MTR 33x12.50x15
Cragar D Window, Simulated Beadlocks, 15x10, 3.75 BS.

Anyone running this without any kind of spacers and fender trimming aside, not having any rubbing issues?

Thanks in advance!

They'll rub on your lower control arms at full steering lock, but that isn't the end of the world. Consider 8" wide wheels if you're gonna take it offroad. The narrower wheels will hold the bead of the tire better when you air them down

Are you trying to figure out what the largest size of tires you can fit without a lift? Or what? I don't understand the question.

235/75R15 are the largest that will fit without lifting or trimming. You can fit 33x12.5R15 tires without lifting if you trim the crap out of your Jeep.

What do you want to do?
