Of course they will fit. But the lcas aren't the only place they rub. Your going to rub all over the front wheel wells over bumps and turns without trimming your fenders. 31s won't fit at 2 inches of lift without trimming. Ask me how I know hahah

Basically yall, Here Is my conundrum. I am restoring it, but not to show or anything, and it will NOT be original Im sure. The interior is going have electronics that wasn't even around in 1990. I also plan to take it off road quite a bit. Before the "restore" I put that thing in some big holes, and was really impressed with its ability. I can find lots of info for 3-4-5 and above lifts, and everyone's first answer is go higher. So I was looking for more clearance/ability, but I do not want to go over 2 inches. Its going to be a daily driver, and trail / beach vehicle. So I'm trying to determine, what would help more, a larger diameter tire, l like a 31, or a wider 30. If those are even options. Thanks again for you insight, and did not mean to cause a battle.

On sand, a wider tire is better. It puts the weight on a larger footprint so you don't sink.
Taller tires are more important for obstacles because they raise the axle higher off the ground for clearance

And choosing tires is all about how you will drive. Clown gave some sound insight. What type of offroading? How often? How many miles a year will you average?

Four of five times with someone who has a new forerunner and afraid to get it dirty. So Of course, I want to get him stuck, and then have to pull him out. HAHA..

From what I'm hearing, Stick with 30's and stock rims for best options, anything wider, even on a 30 will probably rub. If get aftermarket rims, even with a spacer to prevent lca's from rubbing, the flares will rub.

Thanks guys

OK but can you answer whether your looking for 15 or 16 inch options. Because your tire options are really limited in 30s and you pay alot more for less then a half inch over 235/75r15

I say 235s are a better option

From what IM reading, I should stick with stock wheels (15's) to avoid any rubbing on 30's

Not stuck, but 235/75r15 are 27, if I can get another 1.5 clearance and the BFG KO's are available in that size, why not?

No. 235s measures out about 29.3 inches while 30s are about 29.7. You can get bfg KO2 in a 235 for cheaper in price and nearly the same size. Just trying to save you money. If you wanted a different tire, alot more options in a 235

Thank you, now that's info I can use. Apparently my source for size conversions was incorrect.

No problem. I work part time at a tire shop. Our distributors list the specs of all tires they have. Most distributors only have about 4 options for 30s. They are going out. All 15s are but 3ps are at a much faster rate

Ok, forgive the dumb question, so a 235/75R15 is smaller than a 235/75R16

Slightly yes. But tires in that size arent what you would want. You want 15s
