Regardless. Rather have adjustable to dial in the ride quality. If your daily driving it, you would want the best ride possible right? The adjustables will achieve that.

I'd be more concerned with correct caster than a 2° difference in ride quality

Ride quality = correct alignment/caster. That is how I see it.

This exactly. Correct caster angle makes a huge difference in minimizing wear on steering joints. It's much less "work" to keep a lifted vehicle true when the caster angle is set correctly versus when it's closer to 90*

Also the rear shackle angle... which I've learned the hard way.

Default help

so i just go 94 cherokee sport (2 Door)
first look the body was great, then i popped the hood i noticed the motor was not. after some research i found out its out of an 87 wrangler so its the 4.2 il 6 and it has ba10/5 transmission. the wiring is all rigged up into the old wiring harness but after inspection mostly everything works properly few glitches but nothing major. so i figured i would build a off road/mud rig. it came with oversized coil springs and ranchero shocks in the front and it sat around 4.5 above stock but the rear had factory shocks worn leafs and a cheap 2'' block lift so it sagged alot so ive been upgrading but i have questions on what i need here is a lost of what i have in it now, also to note this is more of a toy i dont want spend thousands of dollars on it heck i got it for free.

Rough country 2'' adjustable shackles $49.95
Rubicon Express RE1415 Rear 2'' Add-a-leaf $58.99
(i used the stock leafs and a cheap 2 inch block lift)
Skyjacker hyro 7000 6-8'' lift shocks
(front and Rear)
Teraflex 2''coil spacer
Skyjacker 9000 steering stabalizer

so it sits at 7'' lift in the back and 6.75 lift in front

but i ran into the track bar not bing long enough what size adjustable track bar should i get???

should i get a new pit man arm??

what type of rims do i need to run 33x12x15 tires? without spacers

You used add a leafs, stock leafs and a block? Really cheap toy eh? One wonders how well it will old up with your offroad intentions. What control armsb you running and you have an sye right?

Rims with about a 3.5 to 3.75 inch backspace should do.

Not worth putting money into it because you didn't pay anything for it... hmmm.... seems like a weird statement to me.

Well, if it were me, I'd ditch the rear leafs + AAL + block spacer crap altogether. You're going to find that you'll be battling axle wrap unless you install a traction bar, in which case it would be cheaper to get full leaf packs. If you want a cheaper alternative, grab a set of leafs out of an S10 or Dakota, cut the leaf eyes off the pack, then take the main leaf out of your worn out pack and throw it in with your extended shackles... Should get about 5" depending on your shackle angle.

Not sure what you're doing with the front, but if you have coil spacers larger than 3", you should really consider ditching them for larger coils. You'll want more than a little "nub" securing your coils in place.

You can lift your Jeep correctly without putting a ton of money into it... this thread is a GREAT resource:

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/bud...herokee-58797/

As far as the trac bar and the wheels... just get an adjustable trac bar that is advertised for the amount of lift you have. If you have 5" of lift, get one for 4.5-6.5". If you have 7", get one for 6.5-8.5". For the wheels, you want 3.75-4" of backspacing. Preferably 3.75". Keep to an 8" wide wheel. It will hold the bead on better when you air down for more traction.

With 4.5" of lift, you can usually fit 33" tires without minor clearancing of the flares. So, with 5" you should be able to clear 33's without much problem. If you find it's rubbing, ditch the flares and trim the fenders.

Default Any 2-2.5inch lift kits with full leaf packs??!!

Cannot, for the life of me, find a lift package somewhere around 2 inches with a new leaf pack instead of add-a-leafs or shackles. My current leaf springs are totally busted and my front coils don't look pretty either. 3 inches+ is not my style personally, and I don't feel like buying everything a-la-carte at a higher price.

Just looking for a suspension package with coils, full springs, shocks, and all the equipment needed between 1.5-2.5 inches.

Do any companies offer such a rarity?

There's no such package besides ome. But it'll cost a nice penny. Worth it from what I hear.

Can someone send me a link, I've been on their site but I can only select between Grand Cherokee and Wrangler kits for some reason.

Default Lift/Tire/Spacer Questions

Ok folks need some help. I have a bone stock '99 XJ that I want to put a 2" shackle/spacer lift on.

I only intend to run 30" tires (thinking by 9.5).

I like my stock wheels (they were some kind of upgrade from the factory, just gonna paint them black). They are 15x7. I know a 30x9.5x15 will fit but since I'm not going up real high I wanted to accomplish a little wider stance.

So the question is...should I stick with the stock wheels, go with 30x9.5 and add the 1.25" spidertrax wheel spacers to push them out? Should I be worried that the spacers will cause fit issues?

Or maybe move up to a larger wheel, 15x8 and run 30x10.5.

Whatcha think?

Full disclaimer this Jeep will never be punished. I live in a south Louisiana so there's no wheeling. We tow the boat to the lake and take the Jeep to go hiking so really this is just to get the look I want.

Their site doesn't list an xj. Here's a dealer.
