There are Nitro 8000s all around, unsure about the coils, seems to have Teraflex lower control arms as they have 3 grease nipples. As for the rear, the leaf springs are very flat, and there are lift blocks under them. I know that flat leaf springs could be contributing to feeling every bump on the road, and as for the blocks they can be dangerous offroad, even though I don't offroad quite yet cause still have things to fix on the jeep.

I do like the way my jeep looks and sits with this "3 inch" lift and 31 inch tires (when it comes to new tires I might go with 32s) , but I'm unsure what I should do. Should I buy the rest of the parts so it's a real 3 inch lift? Or should I buy a complete 3 inch lift, or go bigger?
Yes. Do it right and don't look back.

That's kinda how everything on my jeep has become thanks to the PO doing everything half assed. So should I swap out all the suspension parts for a full lift kit? Or should I just replace the parts so its right? Also should I stick with 3 inches of lift? Or go bigger? I do plan to offroad this thing in the future, but as of now its my daily.

I need some help with the rear setup on my recently acquired 91 XJ. Previous owner installed a Rough Country 4.5" AAL kit.

The rear seems to be sagging and riding a bit rough. I'm guessing they are the original leafs. I would like to redo the rear with new complete leaf packs and also correct the angle of the shackle.

I've read good reviews on the OME leafs and was leaning towards these. My question is what bracket relocation kit and shackles do I need to get back to 4.5"? If I read correctly the OME leafs are about 3".

Do I need the bolt on or no lift relocation bracket? Would a longer shackle and no lift bracket give better flex?

Going higher is really up to you. I do recommend getting rid of those blocks. Start doing some research. There's a lot of great info out there. Here's a good list that Clown put together for parts required at each height.

Kinda what I thought and the blocks definitely are gonna go. I'll do a bunch of research before before I come to a decision. Thanks for the list, that's very helpful!

So..... shackles and pucks just arrived for my 96. I've done a lot of wrench turning in my life but I have never done this before. Never done much suspension work at all in fact.

So any pointers or things to keep in mind / watch out for? Seems to be a pretty simple and straight forward job but it is an XJ so... LOL

This is my 2nd XJ (#1 died a painful death)and will be an on / off DD for at least the next year. Hence the minimal 2" BB for now. That and I just threw on a fresh set of 235/75/15's so hopefully with the added 2" those don't look too hokie for the time being.

PB Blaster is your friend. Heat as well if needed. Spacers and shackles won't be too bad as long as you can get the upper shackle bolt free without issue. At 2" you'll be stretchin the stock shocks pretty close to max. Grab a spring compressor too.

Ya considering replacement at the same time... Any suggestions on something moderate?

Has anyone heard of the duck commander mts? A buddy of mine picked up a set of four for roughly 160 per tire on ntwonline. For a mt it does seem a little low of a price and tried talking him into toyo mts but for the price he got that's a decent deal. Was just curious if anyone has tried them out or anything? Contemplating getting them for my jeep. Otherwise I'm sticking with the toyo open country ats or picking up some better all terrains if anyone has some suggestions. Thanks!

Lol duck commander.

the toyos are garbage for the price man. Go with bfg or cooper all terrains.

$160 a tire is not that great a deal for cheap tires.

i said the same thing. But i figured it wasn't too bad of a deal. Now i originally wanted the ko2s from bfgoodrich but i want a slightly more aggressive tire as in the next 3-4 months this will become the toy/winter vehicle as I'm getting a car for a daily. Any suggestions for a decent price?

The KO2's perform well offroad. You want something more aggressive you will need a mud tire. Coopers, km2, goodyear mtr off the top of my head.

A/T tires are much, much better in winter conditions than mud tires. I'm looking at the Cooper S/T Maxx after a lot of research. I wanted the Cooper STT Pro, but I know it wouldn't be right for all the highway miles I log

Maxx's are hands down the better winter or highway tire compared to the PRO. You wont be dissapointed.
