What is the correct torque spec for LCA's? I found 4 different values doing a search.

91 XJ with RC LCA's is what I'm working on if it makes a difference.

Default Front Pinion Angle

Hi I have a 98 5-speed with a 3 inch lift on 31's. The issue I am having is when I went wheeling I noticed my front wheels spinning unevenly (not due to a lose of traction through the diff) and I kept hearing loud creaking and what sounded like binding. I do believe the front coils were rotating slightly since I didn't tighten the little bolts that hold them but I still want to correct the pinion angle even if the noises were the coils.

I looked at some charts that have the control arm lengths already figured out but they weren't the same measurements that I came up with and suggested a higher pinion angle then 0 degrees. I am shooting for 0 but want to hear other thoughts and what lengths others got when they zeroed there front pinion.

Thanks

I'm kind of new to this whole scene; I bought a 2000 xj sport as my first car and I'm trying to get it looking clean/stock before doing anything outrageous. My problem now is that the wheels on it are rusted bad and look like trash. I'm looking at getting some new 15x8 wheels but I'm not sure if the 4in. backspacing, or the fact that I've got 235/75/15 tires on it will actually change anything, and I don't feel I'm getting a straight answer from the people I've asked?

When I was stock I ran 235/75/15 on 15x8 rims with 3.75 backspacing. The 4" backspacing will keep them closer in. They'll fit fine.

8" width is too large for those tires. They will run the risk of popping off if you run lower air pressure.

About to pull the trigger on some 33x12.50x15 tires. Leaning towards General grabbers a2. Anyone else have any suggestions? Currently have 31 inch K02s.

Went with another set of BFG K02s. Set of 4 was $700 from 4wheelparts with free shipping.

alright..i know I've asked this before but it was awhile ago. 33x12.5r15 on 8" or 10" wheels. The wheels I'd really like i can only find in 10" wide right now. I really don't go enough places where I actually need to air down that far so?

15x8's if you plan to air down to a working pressure at all. 15x10's if it sees street 90% of the time.

My preference is 8" either way. Unless you just want the wheel further past the fender I see no benefit to going to a 10" wheel with a 12.5 tire. Gives some sidewall bulge, better bead retention aired down. Less weight, better scrub radius. Still an opinion, but 8's I feel are the way to go unless you are running 14.5 or 15.5 widths.

Hey guys I was thinking about getting Dick Cepek trail country tires. Does anyone know anything about them. I can't find many reviews when I google them. Any help would be nice.

Just put an RE 3.5" lift in my XJ and have pretty bad vibes up to 40 mph when I have to let off. I determined rear shaft u joints are ready to go but am wondering if I replaced those if I would be good on vibes. Because a lot of people say you don't need an SYE for 3.5" and some say you do (guess it just depends on the travel your jeep has seen). I basically just don't want to install new u joints and then determine that I also need an SYE and be out the money I just spent on the u joints

Unfortunately thats not a question anyone here can really answer. could swapping the u joints fix the vibes? Yes. Could it take u joints and SYE to fully cure? Yes. Could you do all those things and still have vibes from something else? Unfortunately, yes. Vibe chasing is a fickle beast. Some people need an SYE w/ 3.5" of lift, others don't.

I just replaced my 4wheelparts.com mounted 31" tires w/ 33s and the majority of my 45-50mph vibes are gone. What I was attributing to driveline vibration was just poorly balanced tires.
