I have 235/70/16's on there now I believe. Is that all the more I can push it?

I've gotten my suspension all back together and have been driving around for a couple days with no problems. so I'm feeling pretty confident with it. Now that I have a lift on there though I realize how stupid the stock tire size (225/75R15) looks. So I'm getting new wheels and tires.

I've picked out some wheels (I think):
http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/w...item=SideBiter
I'm looking at the 15x8 ones.

and I want to get 31x10.5R15 tires. either Wild Country Radial MTX or Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar.

I want to make sure everything is going to fit width wise. I'm pretty certain that the 3" lift will accommodate the 31". I can't find a decent explanation on the motion of the wheels in and out though. I know I'll be expanding the width of the tire by 0.82" in either direction, but I'm not sure where the inside edge of the wheel will end up relative to the stock wheel.

Some info on the new wheels:
Radius: 15"
Width: 8"
Backspace: 3.31"
Offset: -30mm

and what I believe stock is
Radius: 15"
Width: 7"
Backspace: 5.25"
Offset: -32mm

I know its all about the offset and backspace (what is the difference?) but my google search skills have come to a limit. any advice would be appreciated

Does anyone know of a good cheap place or website for tires, besides treadwright? They are backordered. Im looking for either 31" or 30" all terrain or something similar. Thanks.

what do you guys think of rough country? I'm looking for a 2" lift. Not anything huge or amazing, I'm not gonna be crazy offroading or anything, just mild trail stuff that I could probably do stock. I just want to look a lil more badass doing it.

I love my RC seriesII 3" kit. Check out my pics. I've only put about 3,300 miles on it but so far so good. I think they are the best bang for your buck. I did a lot of resarch before going with this kit. It was very difficult to find a bad write up about them. When I did it was from someone who had never had a RC kit.

A t-case drop is really inexpensive you can even make your own, I know I have seen measurements on the internet, but that being said both of my buddys lifted their cherokees and one needed the drop and the other didn't both went 3.5"

You won't know until it's lifted and you drive it. I lifted mine 3" and I get small vibes. I'll be dropping my tc next week. A kit is only about $40 or $50 shipped.

What it pretty much boils down to is your wheels/tires will stick out around 2 inches more than stock...they would be plenty fine to run 31x10.5's...but just a heads up, 3.31" backspacing is a quite a bit and will make your tires stick out real wide...look at the photo's of my jeep, im running 3.5" backspacing and half of my tire sticks outside the stock fender flares...you'd be best to probably go with 4-4.5" backspacing...unless you plan on going with a wider/bigger tire in the future.

you're the bomb on this thread. you're helpin me out a lot thanks. I'm having some concerns about the add a leaf. a lot of people are saying it starts to sag pretty quick.

would it make a difference if I got the add a leaf lift then when I got the money I get new leafs, or should I save up and get new leafs and add a leaf at once?

You're right about the aal (add-a-leaf). Save up and get the full leafs. that's what I did. If you do that you won't need the aal. The full leaf packs that come in the kit will lift the rear (unless you plan on getting stock leafs and adding a leaf to that but that would be pointless and a waste of money). Plus, it's a whole lot easier to just replace a whole leaf pack rather than taking the leaf pack apart to add the leaf or adding a leaf to your current pack and the taking all out again when you upgrade to full leafs. Make sense?
