Ideally that would be the best thing to do, but even there driving to the nearest border would be a 350-400km one way, so 800km all around is 2 tanks of gas, again another 100-150$. i could save up to get the necessary amount, but it just seems too much for a lift kit.

Regarding stuff from the US, it depends on what your time is worth. Kinek held full frame stiffeners from HD Offroad for $5 for me. Well worth the trip to NY to get that free shipping, but I'm a little closer lol.

Old Man Emu leaf springs in the back. Could be an extended shackle, too, but we can't see it. Skyjacker shocks. Looks like two spacers stacked on top of each other in the front, which is certainly not recommended.

No comment on the RC joints, have you tried talking to 4 Wheel Parts? They bought National 4WD and have a store in Montreal. I think they carry Tomken, Teraflex, stuff like that.

Yes, same size. P tires are for "passenger cars" and are very light in construction, typically 2 ply tread and 1 ply sidewall. LT "Light Truck" will be heavier.
Goodyear Nordics, Michelin X-Ice, et cetera, are only offered in a P tire. BFGoodrich All-Terrains are only offered in an LT.

Exactly why the "Walmart special" Goodyear Wrangler Radial tires suck so much. They're a passenger car tire.

I have actually had no problems with the Wrangler Radials I put on mine when I bought it a few years ago. Much better than the Uniroyal Tiger Paws the PO had on it lol. I agree they are no off road tire by any means, but if you have little money and need something right away, they are probably the best $80 tire you will find for an XJ.

I've had them on mine as well. I'm not referring to the streetability, I'm referring to them being anything but worthless offroad. They suck. The Wrangler RTS's that I had on before them had a less aggressive tread pattern and got me out of more jams than those pieces of ****.

...and now that I think of it, they weren't even that great on the street. They're okay when they're brand new, but once they get about 40% tread left, they go out of round pretty quick!

I just got a 99 XJ SE and it has 30/9.5r15s and no lift that I know of. I will measure tomorrow and see if maybe it has a small lift or not. My question is this will be my dd with a caveat. For me a dd only gets about 250 miles a month or less as I am bever here lol. I am a OTR trucker. I would like to do a smallish lift say in the 3" range. Maybe 31's or 33's at biggest. When I do go to the trails they are easy-mild in difficulty say dirt road some hills and some smallish rocks and mud. I would like to have a good setup that can do that with no issues. I would prefer not to trim if I can but I'm not against it either. My rig has the stock Dana 30/35 3.55 setup.
