What it pretty much boils down to is your wheels/tires will stick out around 2 inches more than stock...they would be plenty fine to run 31x10.5's...but just a heads up, 3.31" backspacing is a quite a bit and will make your tires stick out real wide...look at the photo's of my jeep, im running 3.5" backspacing and half of my tire sticks outside the stock fender flares...you'd be best to probably go with 4-4.5" backspacing...unless you plan on going with a wider/bigger tire in the future.
Sorry, i'm pretty new at this and a little paranoid about spending so much before knowing that everything will fit. I had a few unexpected problems with the lift, but was able to work through them. theres not a whole lot I can do about the tire rubbing on the inside though.
thanks for the help

I need some wheels for 245/75/16 tires. They will be all terrains most likely, rarely see offroad. I'm looking for some black rims with around 4-4.5" backspacing. Should I use 16*7 or 16*8? Also does anyone know of any wheels for less than 65$? I know cragar has some for bout 75$ a piece...... I also currently have four jeep canyon wheels with nothing wrong with them. How much could I get out of them? I see them on ebay for over 100 each buy it now.
Thanks guys.
Thanks guys.

would it make a difference if I got the add a leaf lift then when I got the money I get new leafs, or should I save up and get new leafs and add a leaf at once?

Hey I have a 6.5 lift on a '98 XJ Sport, but the rear is sagging a little..So, I am going to get a whole new set of leaf packs, but I was wondering if someone could tell me what size leaf packs i need to revive the rear of my jeep...
Some info to go by is the rear shackles are 6 1/8" from bolt center to bolt center, and I do not have leaf blocks...
I do not know what size stock shackles are, so I'm just wondering do I need 4.5", 5.5", or 6.5" leaf packs?
Any help is greatly appreciated, cause I'm not diggin the Jeep squat...

Your wheels are significantly wider than the ones I'm looking at. do you think I'd still get that wide stance look with the skinnier wheels? out of curiosity, how much clearance do you have on the inside with the 3.5 BS? Also, your wheels are wider than the width of your tire, or at least the numbers say so. it looks good with the tire mounted. the 31x10.5 tire is 2.5" wider than the wheels i'm looking at. that would suggest more bulge from the wheel right? which could cause rubbing inside.

Is there any chance you stripped down this ^ jeep to stock and sold it? I have one almost identical minus ad ons and mine little more worn. Im in Wisconsin, bought it in Chicago, terrain in background could be near here. Just caught me off guard thats all.

I have 31" Treadwright AT/KO clones ordered and Im looking to lift my jeep. I have spacers in the front and I noticed some pieces of plastic between a few of the rear leaves. Right now im sitting at about 18.5-19" from hub to fender.
Originally I was going to get the 3" RC with leaf packs and control arms, but I thought this might be cheaper and I can maintain a nice ride after I fix my shackle angle.
Shackle relocation - supposed to net ~1inch and maybe a longer shackle
V8 zj upcountry coils along with the coil spacers from the PO ~2.5-3inches
Shocks-idk what to get, but this is an area I dont want to skimp. Any suggestions?
Adjustable track bar or maybe redrill the mount?
Quick discos
WJ control arms or RC 3" control arms?
So any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Im hoping to be about 3" over stock.

I've got a 2" lift kit coming in thursday. Spacers, add-a-leaf, plus shocks.
I want to put them on myself (with help from a friend) but don't really have a clue how to do it.
any suggestions?
