the pic you posted is tiny for me, and I tried zooming in. But from what I can see those shackles are freaking huge and the leafs look inverter. Looks a little rough around the edges as well. Literally lol. Those fenders look hacked and not nicely done haha

try this one
and what it looks is the leafs went to sag so they just made shackles to change the height.
4in shackles for a 3in lift.

I'd be wary of buying a vehicle from someone who thinks that's acceptable. Who knows what else they've done to it

I just pulled the trigger on a lift kit. The black friday sales were screaming. I was originally going to go with all Metalcloak. After considering the options I went in a different direction.
I'm hoping I will be able to drive it without a SYE for a couple of months. I would like to get the funds together to go with an advanced adapters sye for the 242, and an adams driveshaft. I guess I will find out soon enough.
Here is what I have so far:
General Grabber X3 295/70r17 (33.33x11.8) Tires
Pro Comp 7089 17x8 Wheels 5 on 4.5 / 4.5 BS
- I would have gone with 15" wheels, but the larger wheels will allow me to upgrade the brakes in the future.
- The new tires should sit about 1.775" in further than stock, and stick out .775" further than stock.
I'm hoping the new 4-link will allow me to tuck the tire into the wheel well. I would rather trim the inner fender than the fender flare.
Metalcloak 3.5" Dual Rate Coils
Cav Fab Alpha 4 Link
Fox 2.0 980-24-643 Front Shocks
OME JGF10 10mm Front Coil Spacers
Crown Automotive 52000229 Front Coil Spring Isolators
IRO Adjustable Double Shear Track Bar - Was ok for the price. I may upgrade it later.
Bilstein 5100 33-066868 Rear Shocks
IRO U-Bolt Kit for Chrysler 8.25
IRO Chrysler 8.25 Heavy Duty U-Bolt Plates
IRO Leaf Spring 4 Degree Shims - These probably won't be used right away
Daystar KJ02008BK Poly Leaf & Shackle Bushing Set
Super Lube 41150 Synthetic Grease
Still On The List:
OME CS033RA Leaf Springs
JKS 2001 Quicker Disconnects
JKS Front Bar Pin Eliminator
Shackles - undecided
Extended Brake Lines
Extended Bump Stops
Johnny Joint Grease
After The Lift:
SYE & Driveshaft
Frame Stiffeners
Steering Upgrades
Limited Slips & Regear
And The List Goes On...
I will be posting the install in the build section soon enough
Any comments / suggestions appreciated!

Hi all, just wondering if any one has done an xj/xj bastard pack with not the main leaf. So using number 2 and 3? I have a set of spare leaf packs but one has quite a bent main leaf.
Alternatively if not a good idea extended shackle?
Overall after 2 - 3 inch lift.

Opinion on Rustys brand
So I read a older post (2013) that did not shine a favorable light on Rustys off road s I was wondering if anything had changed in their quality over the last 4 years. Also hoping I'm posting this in the correct area.

rustys is one of the most popular, and most recommended brands on this forum. Of course the are going to be people that don't like it, but that's with any product.

again, not everyone is going to like them. Rustys wasn't bad 4 years ago. There was probably just people that didn't like it for one reason or another.....like every company and product
