go to 1010tires.com they have a size calculator that shows the difference. Tire recommendation- General Grabber AT's are good in snow and inexpensive. Cooper discoverer ATR is also a great tire at a reasonable price. You CAN run 30's on a stock jeep if you don't wheel it hard. If you're not lifting it stick with the 235's, 30's are more expensive and not that much different.

I just finished installing my RE 3.5 kit the other day and now I am looking to put bigger tires. It is sitting close to 4.5 or so over stock right now.

I want to fit 32x11.50s, but dont really want to trim the fenders. I am planning on building slimeline bumpers. Is there anyone that has fit tires this big on a that type of lift kit and how did ya get em on. How much rubbing do you have?

I test fit some 32's and would need to do a little trimming of the fenders for them to fit properly with no rubbing on the road or offroad. At flex they rubbed a little and sometimes onroad a little but not major. Just so you know you will settle down to about 4.25" after a few weeks.

They're roughly 28" x 8". I have pictures on my profile, but I'm not on the right computer at the moment to upload a side-view or a picture of the actual shackles/tailpipe.

The factory measurements from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the stock flairs is roughly 17" out back and 17.5 up front. If you measure 28" you would be sitting at 11" of lift. At 2" you should measure around 19" to 19.5".

Ok, thanks for the info. I can live with a little trimming. I do expect it to settle, but i still need a coil space for the front.

Yep the RE 3.5 needs a .75" coil spacer to level it out. The reason for the difference is to allow for rear bumpers with tire carriers. You can goto a JY and get a factory spring isolator and it will level it out for you, just stack it with the existing one.

OK, i have a 97xj 6.5in kit(coilds and spring packs) on it with 33's and cutout flares. i would like to raise it up to an 8in lift. im thinking of going with 8in coils up front, and maybe a shackle or block in back. and eventually runnin 37s. it has a SYE already. i was wondering if anyone would know what else i would need to change if i were to lift it up this high. maybe if i need steering mods, brake line mods(think it already has extended lines, bought the jeep with thelift) driveline mods, anything that i would need, or might want to do. any and all suggestions welcome, thanks.

that extra 2 in makes a big difference. 37's will require axle upgrades or you will break for sure. your pinion angle HAS to be changed at 8" or a new drive shaft with a cv joint to take the stress off u joints. steering and brake lines for sure. there re lots of considerations to take in account when going over 6" and running bigger than 35's. they are a little truck with little components that break easy if stressed with too heavy aftermarket mods.

I've recently installed 2" of lift on a 1990 XJ. I realize I need new shocks, but have never bought them before and don't know what to ask for when I go to the parts store.

What size do I need? (nomenclature?)

when going to bigger axels do you mean swapping the whole thing or just upgrading the the shafts? and can you get an axel from another jeep like a zj?do they bolt right in? also by upgrading the steering do you mean going with a kit to raise the steering? and as for the pinion angle do you just put shims in between the leafs and the axel?

Hi all, this is my first post. I am the proud owner of a new to me extremely cherry 2000 Cherokee Classic. I am ordering a rough country 6.5 inch lift with upgraded shocks and a sye kit with drive shaft and control arm drop kit. My question is this I really like the stock rims that came on the classic and would like to run 33's would 10.5's fit fine on the rims or is it a lost cause and new rims are in order? I plan on , in time , changing the gearing to 410's and running a front locker. I am building this thing for the famed Rubicon run this summer as well as a daily driver and week-end fun. anyone else running this set-up ? any pros or cons ? any help will be greatly appreciated

A few more questions.

After careful consideration of lifts, tires and other expensive jeep items, I found out that I really shouldn't be spending too much.

So my questions are...

Are blocks or lift blocks good or bad? Why?
I was looking at rocky-roads BB's and they have a 3" for about 150 dollars. It includes shackles and blocks. If I did happen to buy this lift, is it at all possible to add another 2 inches using spacers/coils? (I think).

If this were the case, could I possibly get 5" of lift? I'm just looking for the most inexpensive way to get at least 5-5.25 inches and was wondering if this could be done?
