No, I don't lick fish.
A few years ago I also brought a piece of fuel hose into that same store from an 87 bronco. The guy at the counter gave me that same look. Then he said he couldn't do anything without a part number. He also told me he couldn't look it up.
Now I just take measurements and order what I need off of the internet.

Like Martlor said, try another store. My local Autozone knows me so well, they just let me go behind the counter and get what I want now.

Will I need a new track bar with a 3in lift. I'm new to lifting jeeps and it's been many moons since I've had a lifted truck. Like high school 10+ years lol

I'm not planning on doing any hard core wheeling just a trail ride from time to time with the local jeep club. Could I modify the bracket by adding a 1/8 in plate on both sides. I already have the scrap laying around and I'm pretty handy with a welder.

Is this worth buying for a little tire clearance?

I am planning to buy some rear springs also but thought this might give it enough to keep it from bouncing off the tires.

2000 XJ Track bar
I bought an xj last year, and I decided to put a 5" lift on it from rocky road outfitters. Once I received the stuff I immediately started checking it all. After comparing my new track bar with the old one I noticed something wasn't right. The bar I have on my xj has a heim joint, where as the new one has a ball joint. When I called/emailed pictures they told me I had an aftermarket bracket. I took it to my local off road shop to get an opinion and the guy there told me it looked like it was the bracket and track bar for a tj. If someone could help me out that would be great. I have pictures if they are needed.
Thanks in advance -Jonnie
