Sounds like someone's being a lazy bastard that just didn't want to go cut hose. I've never been to an auto parts store that doesn't have reels of that in stock.

Like Martlor said, try another store. My local Autozone knows me so well, they just let me go behind the counter and get what I want now.

Seriously.

I won't even go there anymore.

What the? If you can't find a store that has someone behind the counter willing to think, you might want to consider moving. An employee like those above wouldn't last long in any parts store around here.

My parts store let's me get what I want and if I need a piece of tube and it's in their scrap bin they just give it to me for free.

Will I need a new track bar with a 3in lift. I'm new to lifting jeeps and it's been many moons since I've had a lifted truck. Like high school 10+ years lol

It's suggested, but not 100% necessary. If it was my jeep I'd throw one on. If you don't get a new one the front axle will be off Center

What about redrilling the bracket after the lift is on would that cause any problems?

The bracket is already thing and weak, redrilling it just makes it weaker and increases the chances of failure.

I'm not planning on doing any hard core wheeling just a trail ride from time to time with the local jeep club. Could I modify the bracket by adding a 1/8 in plate on both sides. I already have the scrap laying around and I'm pretty handy with a welder.

You could, but think about the fact that the frame side factory joint is a tie rod end, there isn't a lot of up and down motion in a tie rod end. Adding lift puts even more stress on this factory track bar with however many miles. Why rig something together when you could do it right the first time and not have to worry about breaking the tie rod end, binding it up, limiting flex, and more.

Default Is this worth buying for a little tire clearance?

I am planning to buy some rear springs also but thought this might give it enough to keep it from bouncing off the tires.

235 75 15's on it and I am good with the size but they rub front and back and the Jeep has so much sag it hits the tires on bumps. I have a pic of the Jeep.

Default 2000 XJ Track bar

I bought an xj last year, and I decided to put a 5" lift on it from rocky road outfitters. Once I received the stuff I immediately started checking it all. After comparing my new track bar with the old one I noticed something wasn't right. The bar I have on my xj has a heim joint, where as the new one has a ball joint. When I called/emailed pictures they told me I had an aftermarket bracket. I took it to my local off road shop to get an opinion and the guy there told me it looked like it was the bracket and track bar for a tj. If someone could help me out that would be great. I have pictures if they are needed.
Thanks in advance -Jonnie

your leafs and coils are sagging, so that kit really won't help. You need new springs if those tires rub.
