Lift XJ for Highway and Overland use
Hi fellow XJ enthusiasts! I'm looking for some experiences/advice from those who have gone before me. I'm looking to put 31" tires on my XJ for some overland use for reaching hiking areas. The XJ will be about 90% daily driver with highway speeds over 70mph. Has anyone had good experience with a 2 or 2.5" lift with 31" tires? From the reading I've done, the under 3" lift should maintain geometry and ride quality. I'd rather not make a mess of my XJ.
Also - how is a BDS or OME for the daily driver aspect and the occasional overland fun?
Yeah - not looking to do any rock climbing or extensive mudding. I've saved up some decent $$$ from my VA disability checks, so I'm good with spending more for quality components.

For my Cherokee on 31s I rubbed the front bumper caps at 3" of lift. I trimmed them and it performed great at 3" with 31s and I daily drove it like that. I do think it would've been better with nicer quality suspension parts than what I used. I don't think I would personally run 31s on anything less than 3". Maybe with a little trimming to the fender flares and fenders it would work well.

ive been lifting xjs a long time. Even with a 3 in lift you May need to drop the transfer case, extended sway bar links etc. It seems like for what you are going for I'd get a basic 2 or 2.5 in lift and invest in some extended fender flares. There is pleanty of room in the wells but the stock setup leaves a lot on the table.

XJ 3 inch lift advice
I cruise over 70 mph in my Cherokee with 5.5" lift and 35" tires. I've taken it over 90 on 3" and 31s no problem. Good shocks, springs, and aftermarket control arms are the biggest factor in ride quality when lifted. The quality of parts will decide the quality of ride.

Hey guys! I've been driving around my 2000 cherokee sport for a little over a year now and I'm looking at adding a lift to the old girl. I've been looking at a zone offroad 3 inch lift with a transfer case drop. It's mostly a daily driver, but I like to go wheeling at least once or twice a month so I want something that will be durable and capable. I already have some 30 inch KO2's on it with plenty of tread life left so bigger tires aren't in the foreseeable future. I'm also curios about extended brake lines and new front sway bar links. I'm a college student so the budget is tight but I'm willing to go a little longer on stock ride height and save up for all the necessary modifications to be done at once. Just looking for some opinions from people other than the guys at 4wp that just try to sell me the most expensive thing they can.

I have a stock 97 cherokee sport that I'd like to raise 2-3 inches. It'll be a daily driver and used occasionally on 4wd roads, nothing crazy. I was looking at the zone 3 inch lift with new leafs. What would be a comparable 2 inch lift? This isn't s cosmetic lift, I want it to improve 4wheeling. Thanks.

38" tires how much lift do I need?
As of now I got a 4.5 inch lift with 3w" tires I want too go up too a 38" tire how much more lift will I need my gendered are already cut and rolled
