It would require a ton of cutting and bump stopping. Overdrive would be useless. I would regear first. 4.56 minimum.

I’m at 33’s on 4.5 lift and the back of the front tires rub on the corner of the rocker panels at 3/4 turn with these short arms. I adjusted the steering stops and lengthened them just enough turn so the tire didn’t rub. I had to buy longer bolts from Home Depot. It’s still driveable, I just tested it on a long drive to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone from Utah. Just got back today. I’m stock 3.73 gears. Lots of overdrive on hills and steering slop which I improved a little with turning in the set screw on the steering gear. Ordered Bilstein 5100’s. These rough country shocks have got to go! Every imperfection on the road was nerve racking. Feels like I’m driving a damn covered wagon on wooden wheels.

If you have adjustable uppers and lowers you may be able to push that axle forward more. Possibly get your turning radius back. I’m just not familiar with WJ. Then you could address turning at full compression. Or not. Depends on what you use it for I guess. Gotta like those mountains tho.

You listed a 16 but aren’t you wanting a 15?

To answer about the ROUGH ride

You can air down your tires, try 13 psi or so. That should be fine with most tire/wheel combos. Air
back to normal for road use or you'll suffer tire wear and possibly overheating and blowing the tire.
The lower pressure will also improve traction off road.

I always air down on trails. I should have specified the roughness was any imperfection on city and highway roads. I currently have my 33’s set at 30psi for city and I air them down to 16 off road. I just use a pair of Staun deflators my Dad gave me (he has a JK on 39’s) and air them back up with a ViAir compressor that clamps to my battery for power.

R16 tires would fit a 16x7 rim not a 15x7 rim. Putting 16 tires on a 15 rim, they would not seal and hold air, or if they did they could slip off the bead and that would be a very bad thing while moving.

since you literally cannot fit a 16 tire on a 15 rim... maybe? It depends. are you running any kind of lift? if not a 31 will fit, but you will experience some rubbing

A 10.5" wide tire on a stock rim which has a backspacing of 5.25" will cause the tire to hit the OEM lower control arms unless you use spacers.

I run an aftermarket short arm and 29psi road pressure and expect and accept that it is much rougher than stock. A long arm with softer springs may be what you are longing for, or perhaps just spend a lot more time off-road.
