Thank you for all the info, super helpful! My jeep was lifted when I bought it to replace the one I've had since 2018 that had rusted beyond repair. Both jeeps have add a leaf and factory shackles, track bars, sway bar links etc... I had already upgraded those parts on first jeep and swapped over to new one along with my 5spd trans and swe equipped tcase. After checking out the shackle angle situation, I've ordered relocation brackets and extended shackles, will install them and see how the ride goes and then look to replacing spring packs. Factory control arms also are in the plans to be upgraded to adjustable ones so I can fix that issue.
My stated lift height is based on how both jeeps sit over 31" tires. Second jeep sits 1 1/2 inches higher. Both were lifted by previous owners that clearly were only concerned with tire fitment and nothing else. I am slowly as budget allows upgrading suspension to correcting the drivability!

Thanks for the note on the shackle adjustment dependent on load.
Current jeep has a Chrysler rear diff, 3:55 gears. My rusty one has a dana 35 rear diff, 4:11 gear with Detroit locker. Love the 4:11 gear and locker but have taken a few 8-12 hour away camping trips with new jeep and the 3:55's are nice on the interstate!

Glad you liked my Granson's effort piloting the drone! The tire swing is a Tomken rear bumper & tire swing - It integrates with the XJ's styling well and the 2x4 steel tube bumper is more than hefty! I have 3:55 gears and I agree they are great on the highway with 31's; but to climb la mountain like I did in the video - Low range is required. My OX locker is one of the few that fits a Chrysler 8.25 - I have a switch on the dash
I'm installing Stinkyfab rear shackle relocation kit and when I pulled up rear carpet, floor was all wet!
1. Windows haven't been left down.
2. I had interior completely out last spring to replace passenger floor pan(complete weld-in), clean, seal, and paint floors inside and out.
3. There are cobwebs and dust inside rear quarters right now, so I don't believe rear side window seals are leaking.
This jeep was bought in New Mexico and with the exception of the floor above exhaust pipe and muffler is completely rust free.
Does anyone have an idea as to how this could happen??
