Thanks guys, was going to go 31s with spacers, so I just saved a good chunk of change.

upgraded from stock wheels to the 31x10.50's. I just ended up getting new rims with a better offset... wish the tire store would have checked that one out before i gouged brand new tires though...

I'm looking to get a lift for my new(to me) '98 cherokee XJ. I am new to all of this stuff, so I don't know if the following are good quality lifts. keep in mind I'm not really an off road guy. The most i'll even use 4x4 is if I'm stuck in snow(probly never) or if I happen to go down a dirt road for whatever reason. Most of my driving will be around town.

Its odd linking individual kits with this website, but they are all near each other in teh 3"-4" section.

http://www.jeep4x4center.com/jeep-li...e-xj/index.htm

first I'm considering is a Skyjacker " 3" Std, Lift Kit by skyjack" for $395

next is from Rough Country " 3" Series II Lift Kit by Rough Country" for $345

and last is a 3.5" from rubicon " 3.5" super Ride lift by Rubicon" for $403

I'm more inclined to go with either of the 3" because "Installing a Slip Yoke eliminator and CV driveshaft is recommended when lifting any vehicle 3.5" or higher"

I'm sort of on a budget. I like how most of these kits are around $400, but if you recommend something that is a bit higher, and much better quality, i would really appreciate it. Or simply which of these lifts would be the best option for me.

thanks!

I just got a 4.5 in lift from rough country through the vendor on here, with the discount it is just over 400 and it comes with a tc drop witch was plenty enough for me so u don't really need a sye until u go over 4.5 in most cases

The rubicon one is gonna be hard to get, they got bought by some one and aren't selling stuff for awhile unless they have resumed business

Yeah they were bought out by Trans America, so hopefully quality will not suffer because of it.

Welcome to the forum darkness, for 6.5 I would definitely go with long ARM. I would get a new track bar for the front and you would probably end up needing a sye to avoid vibration. But the kit should include almost all of what you are going to need. If you are new to the whole offroad/ lifted vehicle scene than I'm not sure I would go as high as 6.5, I just did 4.5 and it is pretty big but its really up to you

i was going to do a 4.5 but my friends jeep looks kinda small and being guys and all we all want to be taller haha the 2 lifts i were considering are these http://www.xtremeterrain.com/65x-ser...ghcountry.aspx
and the second one was http://www.xtremeterrain.com/65criti...ckoffroad.aspx
i was some what leaning towards more of the rough country because it comes with skid plates and a new cross member

As long as the suspension isnt sagging too bad you should be fine. I was running 235/75R15s when I was stock with no rubbing.

Well, that one website should have it, and either way, I found that exact kit on craigslist for $300. They bought it and used it for a couple months and decided to go bigger, so I might pick that up.

With a 3.5" lift will I be ok with 32" tires or should I go with 31 or 30?
