you can run a rim between 8-10" and wider is not a good idea... you also should not go skinnier... but I do know a few people running 12.5" tires on 7" wide rims...

I personally would go 8-9" wide

Wasn't there till I lifted though... Could that have caused the cap to loosen, or is there a larger issue here? I love it when my XJ is broken (which it isn't but I don't wanna break something by neglecting this), at least then I know what's wrong...

I figure the angle got changed just a little so it let some oil sit against the cap and then the cap let out a little, I wouldn't be concerned

Commercial vehicles are regulated by federal laws, not state. Federally, you can't run recaps on the steers of any commercial vehicle. Virginia does not allow recaps on the steers of POVs.

33x12.5 on 15x8 never had a problem and they look good
