Maybe i put this under the right thread.
I have the Rustys 4.5" spring pack lift with 32x11.50's ready to go on this saturday. do i need to extend my bumpstops? if so would anyone recommend the ole hockey pucks up front and the square tubes in the back. (i found that method while trying to search for it).

To figure out how much for your shocks, disconnect them and compress them all the way and see where the position of the mount would be. Measure the difference between those two positions and the distance to the current bump stop. Subtract the first from the second, add 1" and that is how much you need to add.

okc how long have you had that kit on your jeep.I'm looking to get the 4.5 lift with the long arms ,but I hear that the leaf springs wear out really fast is this true.I Dont drive my jeep a whole lot except through hunting season and maybee to disney a couple times. But I've read 10 months or so and it seems they should last longer than that.whats your experince?

How can you tell?
Alright, stupid quesion here. How can I tell if the previous owner / dealer installed a lift kit and if so, how much was it? I could measure the height from the ground to the body, but I wouldn't know what the stock height would be.
I have a '96 XJ Sport 2WD I'm slowly breathing life back into and some shocks are dependent on lift height. Thanks.

Youll need a Slip Yoke Eliminator(google it) and a CV driveshaft. No getting around that at that much lift.
What size tires are you wanting to run? Stock axles on a 90 wont like anything more than a 33 on hard wheeling or 35s if youre a special person LOL. 8'' is too much for 33s or 35s for that matter.

I understand what else i am going to need in order to do this lift. I am getting a custom made driveshaft from 6 states and i already have the slip yoke. eventually i am going to dana 44's front and rear with ARB. Why do you say its too much lift? Would the 6 inch long arm kit be a little better and just run 33's with that?

I have a dilemma! 94 XJ going to put Rough Country 3" lift and 31's, but came across 15x8 rims with 33x12.5 tires mounted for $100. What do I need to do to make these wheels and tires work?
