As far as I know, you have two options. 1. Cut open backseat floor, and access bolt from there. 2. The option I recommend, use a metal punch & a bfh. You should be able to beat the bolt & captured nut into unibody cavity. Then with new bolt, lock washer and nut you can put it back together. Believe it or not you can tape the nut to a wrench and hold it above the hole through the cavity while you tighten. Once the lock washer grabs you shouldn't need to hold it anymore. Good luck.

I have 4.5 inches of lift, trimmed from fenders, and an AW4, BUT a D30/D35 combo with some high miles on. Could I upgrade my rear axle(to a C8.25, D44, Ford 9/8.8, etc) And get stronger axle shafts for the D35 and be safe? I'd like to take it wheeling too, but since it's the daily, keeping it in one piece on pavement is kinda the priority. And I assume some better gearing would be ideal as well. 3.73's 4.11's, etc etc.

Just trying to figure out what I need to add to my laundry list!
Check out wj steering a brake upgrade that would help alot handling wise.

Is $200 a reasonable price on 4 used BFG All Terrain 30x9.5's? They were made late 05 and have decent tread left. They're already mounted on some grand cherokee rims. I'd be putting them on my stock wheels so I'd have to pay to dis-mount and re-mount them.

Tires from 05 with that much tread, check for dryrot. If they're good, that's not a bad price.

I've heard that the stock uppers will/wont work with that much lift. Tomorrow is looking like its going to be a nice day any maybe my last chance before the snow hits. Any input would be greatly appreciated

Default Need a little opinion

I am running a 3" spacer up front with stock coils. In back running stock leafs with a "just installed" 3" Rough Country AAL. While I had everything apart, I also installed an extra stock leaf (the one right below the main). I am now sitting at 4" above stock in the rear and it rides like a friggin rock. I put in 3 degree shims so I have no vibes. Will it settle down or did I botch it a bit by adding the extra stock leaf? Will the AAL ride really rough by itself? And what should I sit at if I pull the extra stock spring out? I hope these aren't stupid questions, but I don't want to pull it apart a million times! Thanks in advance.

Default oldddd leaf springs

hey people,

im on a high school budget, so i picked up these leaf springs from the JY that had the same 2.5 inch width as my stock springs to make a bastard pack.

the only problem is they have rust alll over them, i think its only suface rust and would be fine but do yall think it wouldnt be safe?

they might be from a 60's era jeep....i found them in the tub but no telling in the JY

Anything from the 60's sitting in the jy will have rust on it somewhere. Get out the wire wheel and start going to town. See what happens. Or you can take the pack apart and see how they feel.
