This should work OK. Is the rig riding level?

No. The front has been at two inches of lift and the rear at three for over a year now. It rides OK. I would like to even it out. On the cheap would be best im in college.

Default Stock 2" lift from factory?

hello everyone,

I own a 2001 Cherokee Limited with stock 16" rims and 225/75/16's. I happened to notice that the Jeep sits a tad higher than most other ones I park next to including my girlfriends '98 Classic that stock. So the other day I did some measuring and scoping around under the jeep. I have pucks up top that look like daystar or what-have-you polyurathane coil spacers. I have about 2" more up front that my GF's and about a 1.5" out back higher than my GF's. Any insight, I heard that the '01's came with a factory lift but havn't heard anything rock solid yet. my rear seams to be sagging but I don't want to put anything back there cause I don't want to raise it more, just level. And since im writing this what is the tallest tire i can put on with out rubbing or very slight rubbing with about 2"? I plan on getting some 16" moabs and ATZ pluses again (best tire ever!).

Any help is appreciated.

The base of the spring is pretty much equally distributed. Only fear I have is could they pop off when flexing? But I bought some of these J bolts and I just not sure if they will hold it in place. I was going to drill a hole at the base and put two J hooks, one I could use the hole from the stock retainer. Do you guys think this is safe?
No, you need the stock retainer. They might not be seating all the way because of the paint, or because they're a little bent out of shape. Either way you need to get them seated all the way. Try putting the jeep on the ground and bouncing the corner with your hand (no shocks). Should pop it down.

Or just grind a bit more... (from the jeep - not the spring)

The rear springs can unload and cause problems or even a flip when going down hill. Not Good.
