But I'm just curious, they show several on their site... which series were you referring to?
Can't find any as being listed specifically for the Jeep XJ, nor one with a 2" lift...
I've also been told in another thread to avoid nitrogen charged shocks as the Jeeps are too light, or something along those lines... I'm not sure.

So a question to the lift Gurus out there. I want 33" tires and minor fender trimming is not a problem.
I need a lift with full packs cause mine or shot. Completely flat, no arch. And I'm pretty sure its going to need some front end work from the tire wear and steering. I can shell out about $700-$800 including shipping for various 3.5"-4.5" lifts with a full pack and not much else. OR, I can get a RC 6.5" Xseries with adjustable upper and lower control arms, track bar, pitman arm, etc for $900 and not pay shipping.
I won't have the money right away for the SYE and DS though.
Would getting the RC 6.5" now with all the bells and whistles and holding off for the DYE be OK and is it worth the extra cash? Or just get a 4???" lift and trim the fenders?

I have a inquiry of my own as well and yes I have searched threads in this forum for it...however if ive overlooked any i apologize.
Im currently perusing craigs list for wheels and tires for my xj I just bought. I know that I want 33/12.5/R-15 with a 4.5 lug pattern however im still not a pro with backspacing i found a set of 80% super swamper thornbirds (I know not the greatest tire) on mt steelies classic 2 for 150 bucks. now here's the problem the rims are 15" x 10" with a lug pattern of 5 on 5.5" with 5" of backspacing I already found a set of Spidertrax wheel adapters that have a width of 1.25" so they can go on my 4.5" xj hubs.
So what do you think? will they stick out to far or rub like crazy?

They will stick out and rub. Personally, I would stay away from Thornbirds. They are not a good tire on the street or off road. They are designed for driving over cactus thorns, hence the name.

Ok thank you ill keep my eye out for some better suited tires and rims...
but you think that the tire is not far enough away from the axel with 5 inch of backspacing and a 1.25" spacer?

Im looking for a 3 inch lift for my 93 xj, ive been looking at the RC 3 inch aal and rustys 3 inch aal kits..both look good to me and rustys comes with a brake line extension bracket but costs a little more for shipping but i wanted some of your input on which has a better ride (weekend offroader..daily driver, so it cant be too rugged of a ride) and if one is more complete than the other..Thanks

Whats up guys? Im new to Jeeps, just got a 97 4 door 4.0 automatic. I have a few other 4xs though. Im in the market for a lift for it. Im not really concerned about road ride I just want it to do the job off road. What is the most lift you can put on a a cherokee without having to get SYEs and TC drops? Im not looking to go over a 31x10.50. Ive got a 79 Bronco on 39.5 Boggers for the big mud... It just dont do flex so I looked for another toy. Ive kinda been looking at the 3" lifts, but wondered if the 4"+ lifts wouldnt be better for flex?
