Hows this for a 1.5" lift? Local jeep store down the road has shackles and spacers for $80. Would I need to replace shocks with this?

no stock shocks should be ok up to 2" lift.

Canyons and Ravines are 15x8, but is the backspacing on those still the same as ours?

Canyons are 5.25 ravines are about the same, mixed results with google.. I got 5 to 5.5. Either way they won't work on 33, or really even 31 without spacers, otherwise you will be rubbing on turns.

That's what I thought^ It's the reason I ditched the Ravine idea and started looking for some Cragars.

I'm at 4 inches lift with cragar v5's, 15x8 3.75 bs. I run 31s and don't rub at all, I do have aftermarket lower arms, sometimes that makes a difference.

ok guys im new to the xj world and am trying to get all my mods together that id like to do.

There is a local jeep shop that told me they will sell me a rc 3.5 or 3 inch lift kit with nitro 9000 shocks and he is going to give me the steering stabalizer and shock boots all for 450 or so. now, im a little uneasy just bc i see so many mixed reviews about rc. my jeep will be used on and off road but nothin crazy so i ffel like the aal will suffice. now with the sye....ive been looking around at threads and people are talking about using different driveshafts. so i guess im looking for someone to tell me exactly what i need with the sye and lift kit.

How in the hell do I order something of of Rusty's offroad website?
Everytime I enter in all the info, at the botton where it has you enter the vehicle info, doesnt seem to work... every time is says I havent answered questions 1,2 and 6, red highlighted the vehicle info...
any help?

Just call them up. Less pain and you make sure everything you need is included. Might be able to get a discount too if you tell them you're on CF

RC is a great company with a great product for a good price. I've never heard anything bad about them.

I personally do not recommend the AAL kits from any company because they tend to ride rough and sag over time. Full leaf packs are definitely worth the extra money.

$450 is definitely a very high price though...you can order the same kit off their website for under $275. And the little bit better one with the nitro socks and control arms for $350. You can add full leafs to any of their kits for additional cash.

Longer shackels VS relocation mount.

Zone is now offering a 4.5in kit with full rear leafs. The leafs are only 3in lift and then they use longer shackles to add 1.5in. Thats about the same amount of lift you get with the shackle relocation bracket. The question is would they flex the same?

Im gonna put a 3" on my '96. Which will be better for me? Both about same price after you add in the HUGE shipping charge at Rustys(Really $160?) Rough Country(series 2) is $609, and Rustys is $598. Should I get the adj. arms
