I have a 3" lift that doesn't sag, and i'm looking at these wheels here:
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...ber=39816865TB
What's the biggest tire (in metric.. they're 16s) that I could use with them? could I do 265/75r16? would I need wheel spacers, or is 4.5" enough?

Is it safe to cut down poly spacers to 1.5"? I bought a budget boost kit that came with 3" spacers and adjustable shackles, but that's probably a little too high with my tires(235/75r15). I should've bought smaller ones and it's too late to exchange them. I thought I was going to get bigger tires but that's out of my budget at the moment. Thanks in advance!

Control arms required?
I have an '89 Laredo and am buying a rough country 3" lift so I can run 31's. Do the control arms need to be replaced? I've heard some yesses and some no's. The lift is 255.95. If the control arms are required, I have to add another 179.95 to the bill. I'd rather spend that money else where if I don't have to spend it on extended control arms.

Thanks Converted!!! Great info.. Any your right about RE and needing more additional parts with there lift That I dont really have the extra coin for. Im not a serious off roader. But I do go offroad!! And I love the way the lift kits makes the cherokee's look.. I may just hafta run the stock tire and rim set up for a little while , which I honestly wouldnt mind doing..
Do yourself a favor and get a complete lift. DO NOT go the route of a TC drop kit. All that does is lower your belly another inch and create "clunks" when flexing. Trust me from experience spend 150.00 and get the slip yolk eliminator... Also I dont recommend spacers. Stock wheels work OK and if you have rounded control arms the rubbing really doesnt matter. Watch that rear sway bar with stock rims, though. IF you put blocks under the springs it will conveniently raise the bar enough to rub a hole into the side of your tire...A little grinding will solve this though.....
