Default track bar?

i bought my current cherokee already lift and the po knows nothing about it, it has an adjustable track bar with the stock style tierod end joint on it and its shot, im currently short on cash so i just want to replace the end untill i can gat a better track bar, by looking at every track bar made, mine looks the most like rough country's, does any one know if theres a part number for this end, or of an end that will work, so i can buy one at the local parts store, thanks

Next time you have the tire off it is either stamped inside on the rim or its under the center cap. I am curious as to what they list them as.

Default Lift help

I finally got the XJ I wanted (picture attached) and it's my first so I'm a noob to all of this. It's a2001 with 76xxx mile and is in great shape. I want a small lift may 2 or 3 inches. I've read where some people that have a 2 inch lift experienced some vibrations and had to do a SYE or TC drop. I large company near me that specializes in truck and SUV lifts told me that they've done numerous 4.5 lifts with 32's and never had any problems with vibrations and never needed to install a SYE or TC drop so why would a 2 or 3 inch lift need it. I'm trying not to spend a bunch of money so any advise would be great.

I believe the older and more abused the rig is the more vibration issues it ends up having. You might get lucky and have none, since yours is young has few miles on it and looks well taken car of. It's one of those things you really don't know until you've lifted it.

You hopefully wont need a tcase drop with a 2" lift however 3" might be pushing it. You could properly get away with swapping in a manuals crossmember and call it good. OME is a great brand to go with for ride quality. On the cheap RC isn't bad.

You actually have it a bit backwards the pre-1997 transfer cases are a lot happier with more lift than the newer ones. Mine has 5" with no tcase drop or SYE with 0 vibes on the freeway. It is pretty common for newer ones to not fare well over 3"

Ever since I added my 2 inch left my 4 wheel drive has been crazy. It won't come out of 4x4 and when it is in 4x4 it feels like its in low. Any idea?

Anyone have thoughts on the Dunlop mud rover tires?

Looking to upgrade wheels/tires. I was just going to paint my stock rims but want to get new ones instead. I have a 2000 Cherokee with no lift. In the future I plan on lifting it only 2". I want to run 30's for a while on stock suspension (should I go 30x9.5 or 30x10?) and want Cragar Soft 8's.

Would a 15x7 or 15x8 be smarter? What type of back spacing would be best 4"?

I'd go 15x8. 4" bs should be fine
