Hey guys, need some help. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with the Rustys 3 inch lift with full packs and probably some type of steel wheesl with 31x10.50's. I want to do it right the first time so what else should I get that doesn't come with the Rustys 3 inch kit and what size wheel with backspacing wil be the best. This will be a 95% DD and I want to keep the stock look and I don't want the tires sticking out past the fenders. Thanks for any help.
I have this same lift. I bought their fixed lower control arms with the slight bend, as well as 6 degree shims for the rear axle. I also dropped the transmission crossmember by a quarter inch using stacked washers (which you can get at Lowes or HomeDepot). You'll need new sway bar links, I got quick disconnects but that's not necessarily what you need, just fixed extended ones will be good. Also, I got longer front brake lines as the stock ones are marginal and I didn't want to risk one ripping and being without brakes. As far as steel wheels go, I got the Cragar V5 15x8 with 4 inch back spacing... They don't stick out too far and my ride looks like AMC intended it to look this way stock. Check out my pictures My pictures

Thank you both for the help there I wanted to know what lift it was cause the rear is sagging so there is only 1 inch of lift left in the rear and the front sits at 2.5 so I'm going to look into getting a 3 inch rear spring pack plus tge person I bought it from thought it was stock

I'm doing the same right now, and as far as I can tell I should be fine with a 2 degree or 4 degree and no tc drop, but every rig is different. Newer XJs are more picky about the angles.

honestly, put your stock UCAs back on. They're good until 5+ inches of lift. Do not cut the threads, it's only designed to screw in so far.
Alternatively, set the UCAs at 15 3/8" and stretch the LCAs out longer (pushes the axle forward a bit) to get the correct castor angle. This MAY cause issues depending on tire size/lift/trimming/steering setup.

I got the front end tore apart so now is the time to decide. I am running 32x11.50x15's when lift is finished if that helps any.
