Also since the lift was installed I notice the jeep sits about 3/4 to 1 inch height difference from left front to right rear.

Default Pinion angles

Does anyone know what the front and rear pinion angles need to be set at for 5" of lift. I have a Dana 30 low pinion front and Dana 35 rear.

I am sure there is a chart somewhere on this site but I can't find it.

Check your pinion angles on front and rear. Those changed when you lifted it. Mine is doing the same thing. Worse on the front.

I posted a comment looking for a chart with the correct angles after lifting.

That's pretty good for 70...so u have the coils..check...u could have kept the stock lca's, but its only a positive thing u got em...u can keep the uca's stock...brake lines will be ok, but every jeep is different...(mine was ok with stock lines at 5")...lol. trac bar will be ok stock, all the steering components.

In the rear you said your doing blocks? That will work, but my advice I would pull some kota leafs and bastard pack it...but then again I did shackles...the cheaper ones from advance auto...(had to rig em a lil bit but they worked just fine)...so with 3" there honestly isn't to much crazy u gotta do...its when I get to the 4.5 and up u gotta start messing with lines usually, t drop, or sye....oh u will need new shocks all around though...

If grimus is still running around on here shoot him a pm...he is good help with some rough country products since he works there...

Hope this helps a lil bit man...if I'm missing something I'm sure someone will chime in lol...

front is easy - set the UCA / LCA lengths as described here:

Lift...........Lower Control .............Upper Control
...............Arm Length ................Arm Length

................Decimal--Fraction.....Decimal--Fraction

Stock........15.75.......15 ¾........15.00.......15
2”.............15.92.......16............14.88.... ...15
3”.............16.09.......16............14.92.... ...15
4”.............16.33.......16 3/8......15.03.......15
4.5”..........16.47.......16 ½........15.11.......15
5”.............16.62.......16 5/8......15.21.......15 ¼
6”.............16.97.......17............15.44 ... ...15 ½
7”.............17.36.......17 3/8......15.74.......15 ¾
8”.............17.81.......17 ¾........16.09.......16
9”.............18.30.......18 ¼........16.50.......16 ½

Default transfer case drop

is it really necessary on a 3 inch lift?

and on a 99' cherokee sport...do they all come equiped with ABS? Asking b.c im buying a lift and it askes me if the jeep has a dana 35 or a chrysler 8.25 rear, and i did some research and found that the chrysler rear was only found in non equiped abs cherokees. I dont have any pictures of the rear as i havnet bought the jeep yet (next weekend)but figured id ask and get some more light on the subject, and whats the easiest way to find out if it does have abs? (slam on brakes lol and or if theres a dash light)

Thank you

probably not, but you may need shims. They are not all ABS equipped - if you have the c8.25, you also do not have ABS. The c8.25 has a very noticeable flat spot on the bottom of the differential.

That's why I stayed here and not on another site. Some people will gripe about repeat questions, but at least you asked in the right place

Tommy, I just want to clarify: Having a D35 axle does not mean you have ABS.
No 8.25s have ABS. Some D35s have it.

My 98 XJ had a 3" lift with no t-case drop and rode just fine. Now with the new 4.5 lift and 1" drop t-case I have a ton of vibration. So the question is do I really need the t-case drop kit?
