01 xj ride questions
this is my first lifted vehicle i have ever owned. i have owned 3 xjs total. i recently bought this 3 days ago. It is an 01 with a rustys 4.5in lift and 31x10.5 tires. I drove it 120 miles home and it was horribly vibrating the entire vehicle. the tread was low on the tires so i got 4 new tires today. goodyear safaris. rides a little better but still is vibrating when getting to 55+ miles per hr. What do I look for and What can I do to possibly get it smoother riding as far as the vibrating?? im new so please have mercy lololol thanks guys!

Send some my way too! Actually, just send them with my Uncle over there when he comes this way for christmas!
Death wobble is usually the culprit but something else got me: bent rims! Id gotten a parts rig with decent tires so I threw them on my jeep. Had a leak, so I took that tire in to have it fixed. The rim had a small ding in the edge of it from a rock or something, so the place 'fixed' it to get the tire back on. The whole jeep shook after that like deathwobble and I checked things out. Fortunately I found the bent rim before throwing a bunch of money at the front end. Threw the tire in the rear and it helped until we retired my wife's GC, and I grabbed her rims/tires. Now I got another set of wheeling rims! Now my jeep rides smooth all the way up to 70, at least until someone decides to use 'boulder minus' to gravel the road to work and I get a jagged rock shoved through the tread. Like this morning....
