Thanks for the advice Dukie and Nickell.

I looked at IRO as you suggested and a comparable kit saves me $1k. That's friggin amazing. Appears I'll be starting a build thread sooner than I thought.

You obviously bought hydro shocks. They are not highly pressurized like nitrogen shocks so they don't have the self expansion trait.

But as it so happens I bought a lift from RC.
It canes with RC8000 shocks, and they came plain white. And when I needed a warranty (life time) on 2 of them, they sent my replacements right away once I provided them with my order/invoice number, and they too were plain white.

As far as being able to move the shocks, if there is little to no resistance, then that more than likely means they are bad.
hearing fluid move inside doesn't really mean much. Especially, depending on what kind they are charged with.
so i took a better look today in the botttom of the box there is rc n2.0 stickers im guessing for the shocks. but none of the 4 have any pressure they all can be moved in and out with and none of them have something holding them shut, also the shocks say made in mexico. If that helps

they are not N2.0s - those are silver. The seller you got the shocks from obviously bought those to his vehicle and sold you his old hydro ones.

Just vibrates everything so things can loosen up or snap from wear. Like u joints or crossmember bolts

Short term? Non really other than wearing out your u-joints.

Long term? It can permanently damage your transfer-case or axle bearings.

Most driveline vibrations are the result of u-joints that need to be replaced.

The other main cause is improper pinion angle, easily corrected by shims in the rear or adjustable control arms in the front.

How do I know? I had horrendous rear driveline vibs when I bought my XJ, was the result of improper pinion angle and as a result the pinion bearings in the rear axle were shot.

Abnormal vibrations on vehicles is a sign of something that was set-up or installed improperly or parts that are in need of replacement.
