Im throwing a 4" lift on my 87 xj tomarrow w sway bar quick releases and shock extenders. But heres my question. I found one of those 3" economy lifts that are the spaces above the spring for 100$. So i thought thats worth the extra clearance. Im a noob. So can these be combined together. And whats the advantage and dis advantage ect.

You can add a puck to a larger spring up front but if it has blocks for the back than DON'T get it! And 7 inches is extremely high, especially if your new to it. (No offence) so just do the new springs and either 32's or 33's

3" blocks and coil spacers, on top of a 4" lift?

....bad idea. Not to mention needing an SYE, extended brake lines, new steering, track bar, and other things.

Its not as cheap as throwing $100 worth of lift on to an XJ if you plan to drive it on the road.

True ^^ I forgot about all the extras. I got the cheapest 4.5 inch lift on the market and it still cost me about $800 to get it driving and that's without a sye

It 4" 32's will rub just a tad, they were just right with my 4.5 so I'd say go with them

The guy i chatted w about buying it has an 89 and he said it took him about 3 hours in his driveway to get it on and it was real simple. I mean i like learning. But this is my dd. So i hope it goes smooth. Theres always just putting the stock back on tho

Ya mine is my dd too. Just be ready for broken and seized bolts. And once you get started you might as well just finish it
