Energy Suspension or Prothane

I would not use poly for leaf spring bushings or control arms though - they'll squeak to high heaven

Yep, probably gonna go 33's when these wear out tho, I have plenty of fender room and could use more axle clearance.

Ah. That explains why they stick out so much. I want a wider stance but not that much. Biggest tires I'm going to run are probably the 30x9.5 or maaaaybe 31x10.5 on a 3" lift. So a 3.75 or 4" back spacing shouldn't look too bad. Id like the tires to only stick out past the flares no more than an inch.

Someone mention the stock back spacing is 5.25 or something??.

Techically it doesnt change the center of gravity... It certainly makes it more stable though.
Splitting hairs... So much fun. jk

I have 31's and 3.75 backspacing with 3 inches of lift... It is a very stable vehicle. It really doesnt handle all that differently than stock. I really love it..
But with that amout of bs it causes me to rub on the bumper caps on wide turns (Im trimming them) and the bottom of the flares/fender at full lock.
Plus it throws crap all over the place...

If I could go back and find wheels with less bs I would have bought them. Id say 4.5 is the way to go.

Mine are 33x12.5s on 15x10 wheels with 4" BS. That's a test fit in my avatar. It sticks out far enough under my (trimmed) fender that I can sit on the tire.

Yeah I also have 12" wide wheels with 3.5" backspacing and no fender flares.

I'll just have to measure how far the tires are from flares now and go off that for back spacing.

I'm planning on the rusty's 3" in a couple months, haven't some of you guys gotten lucky and a new track bar wasn't needed??? Or should I cover my *** and get one anyway?

If you plan on lifting your jeep more get the adjustable trac bar if not you can just re-drill the axle side mount, but that requires lots of measuring and im too lazy for that sort of thing I would just get the trac bar.
I have 3.5" and I don't like how one side sticks out.

Fixing to install a 3 inch Rough Country Series 2 kit with full leafs. I am also installing Bushwhacker cut out flares. Sway bay Quick Discos are in the near future as well. I was able to pick up the lift brand new for $200 and the flares used for $125 on Craigslist.

My question is, with this combination, what is the best tire size to go with on some black steelies that will prevent rubbing, let me flex out the suspension, yet fill out the cut out flares in a respectable manner?

Also, will I need to do a Transfer Case drop and Pittman Drop for this kit? And anyone have any feedback on how the kit is?

Thanks for the help. College student on a budget, just trying to feed my addiction.

looking to get a 6.5" rc lift and shackle relocation kit, and wondering how much of a spacer i will need so it will set level or front just a hair lower after the suspension settles

and also will the shocks with this kit be sufficient enough travel for the 6.5" plus the extra however much

1.5 spacer will sit level. That's what I had. Slowly changing everything though. Too tall for me.

Anyone know where I can get 37/12.5/15s or 16s?? Can't find anything

you're going to need to do a metric crapton of trimming and massaging to fit 33s under 3" lift. You'll also need new shocks and bumpstops

Like dukie said, that won't be so simple. If you look at my avatar, that's a 33" on stock suspension, but I've trimmed my fenders. I'm gonna trim off more for my 3" lift before I actually mount those tires, and I'm still nervous about the rear because my leaf springs are busted. It's hard to get an idea of where it will sit and how the tire will fit on there.
