Hope I'm putting this in the right place. I noticed on some of these trucks when they flex all the way out, in the front the top of the spring leaves the perch, by alot! Is this normal? looks dangerous to me.
An opinion question....33's with 4.56 gears and detroit lockers or 33's with 5.13 gears and detroit lockers? Looking at on road use and don't want to blow a motor because RPM is astronomically high (better milage too) Any opinion on the detroit tru trac limited slip for the front?
Even though I don't have an XJ yet, I love this forum, I have learned a ton about XJ's. And to think I was going to get a TJ

I was looking for a TJ, too. Welcome to the light side! I don't know about lockers, but 5.13s are way high for 33s. I'm looking at 4.56s when I upgrade gears for my 33s, and that'll keep me happy if/when I go up to 35s.

trying to plan a 2" lift and I'm trying to figure out which is the best route to go, getting all the stuff from quadratec.
Option 1:
Old Man EMU 2" Leaf Packs + bushings
Front HD Coil Springs
Teraflex 3/4" Coil Spacer
Skyjacker Ubolts(4)
Option 2:
Front HD Coils
Rear HD Leaf Pack + all bushings
Teraflex 1 1/2" Lift Kit(Spacers and Shackles)
SkyJacker Ubolts(4)
Option one seems cheaper, but which will ride better? Also are getting new stock shackles necessary?

Definitely get an alignment if you don't know how to do one yourself.

I don't do hardly any off roading in it so I'm sure It can't hurt, and ya I'll get an alignment done right after I get my new tires on in a couple or months.

Doing leafs in the rear soon and picked up bolts/nuts for the shackles. How often do those bolts break when trying to take them off? Reason I ask is because I bought them just in case, but it was $55 for all four bolts/nuts.

I've successfully extracted 7/8 of the ones I've worked on without incident. The one I did not get out broke the weld nut on the inside of the framerail in the front, so I had to deal with that, but I have never broken one of those bolts.
It is possible though, i've seen it happen. It's good you bought some though since they often come out with the threads pretty chewed up. PB Blast the crap out of the bolts (be sure to spray the other side inside the framerail too through the access holes) for a couple of weeks before the replacement. If the bolt starts squeaking really loud as you turn it out, work it in and out a few times to clear the rust from the threads. The metal sleeves in the bushings are almost always rusted to the bolt, so you'll probably need to cut away some of the rubber to allow you to open up the sleeve (look for the slot).

I just recently got a 1998 jeep cherokee sport and I am thinking of getting a 4.5" lift which brand do you think has a good ride quality for a 16 year old budget.

Rough Country sells some of the most inexpensive quality kits out there, and they're very complete. For 4.5" you'll want full rear leaf packs, a new trackbar, shocks, front springs, extended swaybar links, extended brake lines, and new lower control arms at a minimum.
This kit includes all the above, plus new upper control arms

If you do want to go up a size to 31's and are going to want a cheap allterrain I suggest General Grabber AT2s... they are very similar to BFG AT.
Im not familiar with cheap but well performing mud terrains, so Ill let someone else chime in if yore looking for those.
Overall, If you are happy with the tires you have, tread wise, keep them until you can spend the extra money for a nice set of 31's.
