They are LCA's on the series II kit, but they are not the adjustable ones that come with it for the extra $100. The adjustable LCA's cost a lot more

Zach, thanks for that I've done some more maths and they worth out just a little smaller in all directions than the 29.5x10.4s so we should be good I've been hunting the lift photos thread for a picture, if I don't find one I'll stick up a picture of my own.

any thoughts on these kits? I know that so far has either said rc or re but what about these?

http://4wheelonline.com/jeep/Product...roductID=65381

http://4wheelonline.com/jeep/Product...oductId=259914

http://roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3x.html

The trailmaster one appears to be the cheapest but Im pretty unclear on what it includes. Rouch country apparently has a guy there that give a cf discount so Im pretty sure I can get the new leaf springs at a decent price with the stabilizer and quick discos for a good price. Can anyone out there look at these and give me some feedback. From what I hear the RE kit runs high and I do want to go bigger eventually. I have a 99 4.0l 4 dr by the way.

Im doing a lot of research on this and would really love some input about which kits to go with and personal experiences or links would be awesome. If anyone know anywhere that I can get a good price please hook me up. Thanks guys

Considering that most of those don't list the parts included and sites like that are known for not including everything needed for a proper lift...I wouldn't pay for any of those with monopoly money let alone my own hard earned cash.

RE makes a good kit, probably the best one you listed. Rough Country would be next and a good buy for the money. I don't know about on cf, but over at naxja, grimmus will give you a good deal on RC. I probably wouldn't buy the other kit listed as it is a lesser known brand. There is a reason for that. Rough Country might be stiff but will be a good product. They have been working hard to up their customer service and satisfaction it would seem. Go with the best shocks you can afford to make sure you enjoy your new lift.

As far as brake lines go, there are options without buying new ones. The fronts you can unbolt the bracket, straighten the line and mount the bracket down lower. On the back, there are spacers available. A guy on here used to sell them 6 months ago, he may still. Do a search or look in the vendor's area.

RE makes good stuff, but I wouldn't buy it from anyone but them. same goes for RC or any other maker of lift kits.

Thus why I'd say stay away from those kits. Buy the RC 3" kit from RC. You get what you pay for, I've learned that lesson more than once with my Jeep already, put up the money to do it right the first time or you will end up regretting it down the road.

ok i've narrowed my lift to a rough country 4.5 or 6.5...what's the major issue is the sye kit. one have have to put it and the other you don't. also this is my daily driver but i have a company vehicle so a maybe put 8000 miles a year on my xj. any recommendations? does anyone have a 6.5 on their dd and not like it and why?

alright i have a Iron Rock Offroad 6.5" Long arm kit and its really nice. It comes with a new sub-frame that you mount the long arms off of (way back under your transfer case)... a cool feature is you dont have to remove it all to get at your transfer case. the sub-frame comes in three pieces, center one is easily removed but at the same time its super strong. The kit is complete- comes with new leaf springs, track bar, long arms, coils, shocks, JKS quick disconects (if you ask for them) shackles, steel brake lines, and alot more. heres a link: http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merch...egory_Code=PFX
total the lift took me about 15 hours to put on.. mostly because all the stock stuff was lock-tighted on for some reason and i dont own any air tools yet

As for tires im running 34" super swamper LTBS on 16" procomp xtreme alloys (had to get 16s to fit the disk brakes i put on the dana 44 in the back) looks really good. i know i could have gone bigger but I didnt want to spend the extra money to put a 35 or 44 in the front. (spent alot trussing/arb/4.10 on the 30 as it is) love the tires. I had them on my old jeep and love them in the snow/mud. They do pretty decent on rocks too because of the side tread. Even with the 34s, i couldnt drive it out of my garage, (had to put stock 27s on to clear the door) ha i have a few pics in my pictures.

and this is your daily driver? mine is the kid to school hauler/grocery getter/off work day vehicle/off roader!!! lol! i just don't know if i'm ready to drop the money for the sye kit, cv shaft, gears, lockers, etc. i guess i'm saying that if i went with 4.5" and 32" tires i could skate for now on factory everything else

ha yup this is my only vehicle... and very true you could probably keep most of your stuff stock with a 4 inch untill you did some real hard trails or some deep mud- on my old jeep, (4 inch lift, 32s) i was climbing up a small steep hill, got into some rocks and my drivshaft straight fell out on the ground.. sye is pretty important

well man ive never had a rough country lift but im a member at another forum and those guys dont like them very much..(rides rough, things break) i love mine. I mean i havent put any miles on it but it looks amazing and went together perfectly. The stuff is built really really well and its still cheaper than the T&T 6.5 (similar to mine)... the rough country is cheap though... depends what kinda money you want to put in it.. ha and thanks! ha mine will look alot better when i can get home to finish it.. i have JRC front and rear bumpers, a roll bar, sliders and alot of other stuff that are in the garage waiting to get installed... o yea skyjacker has a 6.5 too but its not long arm and its way overpriced IMO

Can anyone help me out with these 2 lifts? It's only a couple hundred more for the Iron Rock so people with either of these lifts please give me your input!!! Thanks
