Would anyone happen to know why the RC 4.5" x-series kit recommends a SYE but the standard RC 4.5" kit does not? Was it just overlooked?

So just ordered my 3" spacers, 1" transfer case drop, and JK shocks. What should be my next item to pick up? New control arms( adjustable or fixed? Upper or lower?)....? Maybe track bar? Or am I good to move on to other things on my list?

List has front locker, bumper and winch, and then new lights/rack

My XJ recently had teraflex budget boost 2 inch lift kit installed.

It is basically front spacers and longer rear shackles.

It flattened my leaf springs out.

It also vibrates at about 35 mph.
Is there a way to fix this vibration? has this happened to anyone else before?

The vibes are because its lifted too high without an sye. Get an sye and new drive shaft and they'll go away.

With a 2 inch BB, there shouldn't be a need for an SYE. If there are vibes, locate where they're coming from, and if it is in fact the rear drive shaft, shim the axle and see if that helps. But you really shouldn't have a problem with only 2 inches of lift.

Regardless of what it says, most people here (myself included) would recommend a SYE at 4.5" of lift or above.

Possible because the x series is able to flex more and the SYE and cv shaft would allow you to do that without potentially damaging anything. That's my guess, but you're right, it could have been overlooked.

About to order new tires and rims. Getting 33x12.5 on 15x10 rims. What back spacing will keep it from rubbing when I turn? I'm ordering bushwacker flat flares cause I know I had to trim to fit them. Proper back spacing?

You can get away with a drop kit, but drop kits are temporary fixes.

Since its temporary, how long till I'll need a SYE? Or is that something there is no way to tell? And when will I know it is time for SYE? Vibes?

I would honestly go with 15x8 rims if you plan on wheeling, they keep the rim tucked in to avoid damage and the narrower rim will make the tire less likely to pop off the bead if aired down. Also, 4" or 3.75" backspacing will be good.

I had heard that before. Definetly considering it. It is a daily driver though. She'll be a monthly wheeler, but most miles will come on the road. Would that make a difference? Definetly open to the 15x8's cause they're cheaper too. Would that be enough backspace to keep it off the tires from rubbing at full turn?

I'd go with 4" BS. Keeps the wheel centered right on the axle for a 15x8 rim.

It's really just personal opinion between the 4" or 3.75" BS. If you like the look of the wheels sticking out the from the fenders you want a smaller backspacing, but the difference on those two is only a quarter inch, so it really won't make much difference. You can get really crazy and order some with 2" backspacing
