17" American Racing with ruby BFG MTs. If u run rubys wheels you'll need adapter/spacers. Know a few guys running these. Minimum 3.5", with 1.5" spacers.
I had 4" front, 3" in rear and my tires rubbed bad. Now i need bigger. Currently 7.5" RE long arm on 255-75/17.

You should just get a new track bar imo

You should get an adjustable track bar. Relocation bracket may work, but I've read they're prone to failure. Someone will say you can use the stock track bar, but you really shouldn't. The axle won't be centered if you do.

Personally, I saved up and bought the Iron Rock Off Road double shear adjustable track bar. It was the only part I bought new, and I'll buy another when I lift my MJ. It survived 1 1/2 rolls like nothing happened.

Okay so I just purchased the RE 3.5" super-ride with rear leaf springs and was wondering if there was anything else I should be buying besides this kit (shocks?). I am planning on running 31's with this and was thinking about going to 32's but really don't want to do any trimming or go to wheels with a lower backspacing.

What's the best tire size for 4.5 long arm with stock flares? 31s or 32s? I know 33s will fit but I don't want to cut the body up

I'll run 33's and want plenty of room in the well. I'm more concerned with offload performance than on road but I don't want a death trap on the highway either. From just looking it seems that I need to go 6.5 to get the travel that I want. Can't find many kits that big for the wj. Looking at 96's.
Thanks!

Besides, the XJ can almost a thousand pounds lighter, depending on trim and options. My wife's first ZJ had a horrible time burning brakes on steep slopes, but Ive never had issues with the brakes holding up down hill.

Its also simpler to upgrade the rear axle in an XJ, whether you find a bolt in D44, or go with a Ford 8.8, leaf springs are easier to set up perches than control arm mounts.

The only bennifits there are to the ZJ is it is cheaper to lift (new spring wise, potentially), as the four coils are cheaper than a pair of coils and a pair of leaves, but then you also have two sets of control arms as well instead of two. SOME of the front suspension parts are more durable than in the XJ, but you have more potential for a stronger axle in an XJ in the rear, and can take the "best parts" of the ZJ and put them in an XJ. Personally Im not sure if having a V8 available is all that big of a bennifit, since there is at least 500 extra pounds to haul around in a ZJ, and its only got a few more ponies than the I6.

Ill find out this year, though. My wife's picked up a ZJ on the cheap and will be wheeling it.

Im in australia so i have a right hand drive xj. But a normal track bar otherwise intended for a left hand drive xj would work wouldn't it?. Looking at the part it's just flipping it 180 degrees/upside down

Okay, I went and ordered adjustable upper control arms which should be here later today and a t-case drop is on the way. Once I get the front axle connected i believe I'll be looking for new brake lines for the front. I think that the lift is little over 4" of lift but i am unsure of how to figure that out.. I read about straightening the hard-lines and relocating the bracket piece.
1. Is that easy? and how much more would that add to the brake-lines? Not sure if i need new ones or not..
2. How would i measure to see how high the lift really is?
3. And about the rear drive-shaft, would the t-case drop correct the drive-line angle or is that just a try it and see thing?

Straightening the hard lines gave me like three extra inches of brake line.
The t case drop is a try it and see kind of thing.

Measure from center of wheel to bottom of fender flare. I think it is like 17 inches for a stock xj

31's but it all boils down to personal preference. I'm only putting 32's on a 6.5" la kit cause I want it to have plenty of room to flex without trimming.
