Default what lift is best?

hey guys I just bought a 99 cherokee sport in february and I am new to cherokees, I want to do a 4.5 inch lift as well as adding 1.5 inch coil spacers/shackles. I was wondering what companies you guys would suggest are best for this, and if i should even do the spacers. any advice would be appreciated, I plan to run 33s or 34s. and start building from there. Thank you

Why do spacers and shackles and a 4.5 inch lift instead of 5.5 inch lift? Everybody is gonna tell you a different lift company.

Default Bad Angle...

Okay guys here we go, I just put a lot of money into my XJ (a lot of money for me anyway) and now my angles are bad, it never ends. So the rear looks to be about inline with the driveshaft. I also had my differential fluid changed at the same time. She's high maintenance, but I still lover her.

Lift:

JKS 1" Shackles (Quite noisy by the way)
http://www.quadratec.com/products/16009_130.htm
New HD Leafs
http://www.quadratec.com/products/56010_11.htm
New HD Coils Springs
http://www.quadratec.com/products/56018_1003.htm
Daystar 1.75" Coil Spacers, factory isolators still in place.
http://www.quadratec.com/products/16058_11X_PG.htm
Front Shocks: Monroe Sensa-Trac
http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...&keyword=37083
Rear Shocks: Monroe Monro-Matic Plus
http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...&keyword=32197
And a bunch of other front suspension maintenance.

I will be replacing with some much better shocks in the near future, maybe OMEs.

So after everything was finished it now rides like a Caddy compared to what it was and then I began to hear a wuuuuuu coming from my rear @ ~50-55MPH and I can feel some grinding when I let the engine slow her down. So after doing some research I found the usual; wrong angle, bad ujoint, shims, bearing, rebuild or replace the axle. The drive shaft has no play. So I am going to put shims and a ujoint to see if that take care of some of the issues.

Questions:

Any good write ups?

Where to a find a cheap angle finder?

How difficult would it be to rebuild the axle on my own?

Any suggestion are welcome, thanks everyone.

time and price sounds about right (for my area anyways).

As previous poster said - time to get intimately familiar with your jeep's suspension and a set of tools.

Lol yea, I wonder if this is something I would be able to do myself? Also my friend says I should keep my 2in poly spacers in to bring the total lift to 8 1/2 inches. Personally I don't think it's a good idea, but I figured I'd ask the experts.

jesus christ no...

believe me - a rig on 4.5"/5" of lift is WAY more capable that a really tall one. There is no reason to go that high - ever, unless you're also going wider. Your center of gravity will be way off.

I'd even recommend sticking with a 4.5" lift or maybe a bit taller - you can easily fit 33s on that lift with a bit of fender trimming. You also get into a whole load of other problems when you go higher than that - your steering will need to be completely redone and you'll need driveline modification at a MINIMUM.

not difficult really - just a lot of work. Grab a couple friends to help and you can knock it out in your driveway in a weekend with basic hand tools.

I got the 6.5 in long arm lift, hopefully I won't need steering work done.
