Hey guys need some opinions. I was trying to figure out how to lift my xj and when I saw the green Xj with the flat flares advertised on bushwackers website I was set on replicating it minus the paint. I called and was told its a 4" superlift with 33x12.50's on the MT sidebiter wheels. They polished parts of their wheels to get the black and silver look but I won't and will leave them all black. I'm not going with superlift but was told the 3.5" OME hybrid lift from DPG Offroad would look great with that setup. Whatcha Think???

Hey guys, i just read up a post of a jeep having death wobble. The shop owner claimed the cause was incorrect torque settings on the trackbar bolts... Is this true? Im not sure if the shop owner just wanted to make a couple of bucks.

Okay guys here we go, I just put a lot of money into my XJ (a lot of money for me anyway) and now my angles are bad, it never ends. So the rear looks to be about inline with the driveshaft. I also had my differential fluid changed at the same time. She's high maintenance, but I still lover her.

JKS 1" Shackles (Quite noisy by the way)

I will be replacing with some much better shocks in the near future, maybe OMEs.
So after everything was finished it now rides like a Caddy compared to what it was and then I began to hear a wuuuuuu coming from my rear @ ~50-55MPH and I can feel some grinding when I let the engine slow her down. So after doing some research I found the usual; wrong angle, bad ujoint, shims, bearing, rebuild or replace the axle. The drive shaft has no play. So I am going to put shims and a ujoint to see if that take care of some of the issues.
Questions:
Any good write ups?
Where to a find a cheap angle finder?
How difficult would it be to rebuild the axle on my own?
Any suggestion are welcome, thanks everyone.

could be? but probably not. Usually if DW is caused by a trackbar it's because the bushing/TRE is bad, or the axle side hole is wallowed out. The torque spec for those bolts isn't very high - I've actually snapped several of them by torquing them beyond the spec. NOT what you want to do - it may break while you're driving.

could be. Does it pull one way or the other? Could also be a bad u-joint on the axle. Check them out by twisting the two halves. Any movement while twisting = bad ujoint

not necessarily. If they weren't installed 100% straight in the holes, or the hole was not perfectly round (due to the joint being bad and knocking around), then the new joint easily could have grenanded itself in a month. Worth checking - i've seen it happen before.
