I think once I get new coil isolators and get my axel centered I'll be at a true 6.5 inch lift. Do they sell thicker than stock isolators

Stock are 1/2 so you can either stack stock or go get a 1 inch from and 4x4 shop or online.

Default One More Question

OK one more question. Would my XJ look silly on stock wheels, and a 3 inch lift? What is the best size tire with stock rims, and a 3 inch lift for offroad capability. I realise I will get some opinions not nessessarily facts, but I dont mind.

Tire size matters not so much on lift its how much you trim and bumpstop. With that said, 31's will fit nicely but may rub lca's at full lock.

Mine rubbed when I turned full left only, 1" spacers solved that

heres my question, im looking at buying some size 33x12.50-15LT tires with some cragar soft 8 15"x8" rims. would it be better to buy 15x10 instead? ive heard you can run a lower psi with the 8 inch wide because it holds the bead better. I mostly do rock crawling so what would be better for my circumstance the 8 or 10?

I'd go 8. I had 33x12.5x15s on 15x10s on the XJ, and I plan to use 15x8s when I lift the MJ for that reason.

just because the IRO coil is only 4" taller when both coils are unloaded, doesnt neccessarily mean those coils only net a 4" lift. think about it, i know that the IRO coils have a heavier weight rating than stock coils. when u put your GCs full load on those stock coils, they probally sink about 3" if not more, but with the IROs, they problly loose an inch, maybe an inch and a half... thats where the rest of your lift height is generated from
