May be true. OP should look into that

I haven't had a problem with mine, though I have considered relocation brackets for a bit of extra lift and a better angle. If you're going to casually wheel I'd say save your money and get the RC lift. I go wheeling as much as possible and I've got the RC 6.5" kit. I've got no complaints and I consider my money well spent.

Anyone on here ever use full traction suspension kits? I've heard mixed things about them and I wanna hear something from an xj-er on here that has them.

Hi all, been a while since I've logged into here as my jeep plans got sidetracked but after many months of saving and quite a few late nights spent scouring the web I "think" I'm ready to buy a lift kit and was hoping you guys could point out anything that might help.

I want to get the RE6130 kit from 4x4groupbuy with bilstein shocks, front adj. lowers, SYE (swap for the np242 kit), swap the RE discos for JKS and I'm going to ask jason about swapping the track bar for the RE1660 track bar plus the bracket.

anything else I may need?

The jeepspeed guys love them. The Petty Cash team uses their LA kit on their KOH rig

Depends on the backspacing of the rim, but if you do rub, it won't be very much.

I'm at 2" right now and recently grabbed some upcountry springs and 1-1.5" shackles from the JY which would put me up to 3". I'm wondering if going from 2 to 3 inches affects the geometry enough to need an alignment? or if I'll be ok just throwing them on

I'd get an alignment after any change to the suspension...I have a friend that'll check/fix mine for about 20 bucks, though...

im going to be buying my lift kit, rims and tires very soon for my 98 xj im going with a 5.5 IRO long arm with 33x12.5 r15 maxxis bighorn tires on cragar soft 8 15x8 with 4 inch backspacing. I do know ill be trimming my fenders slightly to fully clear the tires so with that info is the 4 inch back spacing on the rims enough to clear the tires from rubbing or wil i need to buy wheel spacers? if so what size would be recommended

yeah, after I posted this I did a search and stumbled across that thread... CA's look pretty beefy and I like that they do heims on the axle end and poly's on the frame end... I guess they had some problems in the past, but it seems like they've improved...

I'm looking into their 3.5" long arm kit, but it will be a couple of years...

thanks always helpin' out, Dukie

4" BS will be plenty to clear without rubbing.

Ok so I installed a budget boost with 2" spacers in front and gm k1500 shackles in the rear. I have two questions. The drivers rear is about 1/2-3/4" lower than the passenger rear. I measured at the wheel well and the bumper. I check the height of the axle on both sides and various other places and couldn't find any differences. Any advice on how to remedy this or what the cause may be? And when I took it out for its test drive after the lift when I took off in first gear I heard some bad grinding from what sounded like under the drivers seat any idea what this may be. All advice and tips welcome. Thanks.
