Thank you. What's a good price for a set? Ive seen them for $1000-$1500 on CL. That seems high to me.

I've seen $4-500 fairly often. Be patient and stalk Craigslist and every forum.

If you have a smart phone, look for an app called "Craigs Notification" (currently banned from the google play store - hopefully only temporary) - this app will allow you to create searches in multiple categories, and in multiple locations - you can then save the search and have it notify you when new posts arrive. Really helps to find the best deals.

I have an issue yall. I have 0-2" shocks. So the only way to lift my xj is to use the old man emu leafs and the fat bobs front springs. Hypothetically, this combination should give me exactly 2 inches. My question is this, will my xj be level with this setup?

Why not get new shocks or the old man emu kit?

x2 - why are you limiting yourself with the shocks?

I have the exact same set up I just put in. I was pretty much rubbing on my stock suspension so it was time for a change. Here is what it looks like. And if there is any difference in leveling it either hasn't caught my eye or is negligible.

Default 3" lift questions

I'm currently saving up money for my 3" lift which includes front sway bar drop brackets and drop lower control arms. I also plan to get a drop bracket for my track bar and I will probably get the extended brake lines as well.

My questions are: Do I need a drop pitman arm? and Do I need some sort of drop brackets or longer links for the rear sway bar?

The pitman arm is fine at 3" and most people disconnect the rear sway bar. It's very flexible, and a lot of XJs didn't come with one from the factory. I don't think it would be an issue if you want to keep it, but I can't confirm that.

You can lose the rear sway bar. Its not going to do much good at all. Just unbolt it and pull it out.

rear sway bars don't do anything but cover death-wobbles. but if u add 2" to the front & the back the front is going 2 b like 1/2" shorter than the back... so 2 counteract this ur gonna have 2 add 1/2" to 1" to the front 2 get level... i had 2 take my rear sway bar out it was rubbing the tire... and u might want 2 do a t-case drop with ur lift....
