Stocks shocks will work but some slightly longer shocks would be ideal.
4.25" backspacing would make the tires stick out some.
This is the best picture I have at the moment showing how far 4.25" bs sticks out of the fender. (The red Jeep, obviously.)

But the Generals are just as nice... I just can't stand the Red Letters.
Either way. I don't think you'll go wrong with either of those tires.

I would say the DuraTracs hands down over the Grabbers. If your looking for an all around excellent tire definitely the DuraTracs. Now don't get me wrong I have nothing against the Grabbers and im sure their a decent tire but those DuraTracs wont let you down at all. Good in Rain,Snow,Sand,Mud and anything you can think of.

I have another question about my XJ... I have already done a 2" budget lift (2" front - 2" back) i'm gettin some OME springs/shocks. that will put me @ 3.5" front - 3.5" back ok so I will need control arms, track bar and brake lines... so my question is since I'm using my factory rims (15x7) will i need 2 add 1.25 - 1.5" wheel spacers so I don't rub holes in my tires??? (31x10.5r15)

Thats a good question.
The back will be fine...
The front may rub the LCAs when turning full lock.
You can either run spacers all the way around, buy new rims or add more material to the steering stop.
Personally, I'd suggest different rims.
Get the wheels and tires mounted and go from there.

Hey, I am currently looking for a 3in lift kit for my stock 89 XJ. I am looking to spent no more than 300 bucks. I am also in the process of getting some BFG T/A KO 30in. I would just like some input on the best brand/style whatever, I'm a bit new to the whole lift thing so any help would be appreciated.
